Easiest place to tap into parking lamps/lights?

I am going to install one of these:

I want to control my HID fogs WITHOUT the projectors illuminated, so i need to tap the parking lamps/lights. Where is the easiest spot to grab this, or do i need to remove the fender liner?

Thanks

Yep, behind the front side of the fenderliner.

Why don't you tap your wiper motors (or any other switced power source), that way you can turn the fogs totally independent of any other light source.

You do realize this mod requires you to run a seperate switch to control the fogs with the relay.

somehow, i knew that it was gonna be you answering the question

do you have any kind of illustration you could give me as to the whereabouts? keep in mind i have HID fogs.

as far as the switch, this will not work in the same way as the DRL module? all i want is to have just my parking lamps and fog lamps work at the same time, as well as being able to run my low beams without the fogs. is this obtainable without a switch?

i was thinking yes, but now that you say it.....i may need a switch inline with the parking lamps or the relay will be open whenever any headlamp is on, including the high/low beams and will stay on huh.

thanks kennedy, BTW i am swapping out my 6000K fogs and replacing them with 3000K. i like the 3000K look solo, but not with 6000K projectors next to them.

Now, i got to thinking this:

Do they make a relay that will give power to the foglamps when the parking lamps are illuminated (using parking lamp trigger) and then close the circuit when the ballasts become energized (using the ballast as a trigger)?

if they make such a product, this will solve all the problems and allow me to run my lighting exactly how i am looking to!

Ding, to do that, you'd have to use the DRL module described in the 3G garage...

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136827

The problem with this kit, is that it runs the fogs as DRL's at reduced voltage. Running reduced voltage on HID is a no-no.

Hamsar, makes a "full power" DRL kit: 45040
http://www.hamsar.com/drlkits.htm

Now... will this thing work for this application? I think so, but I've never installed this unit. I did install a 45035 (almost identical to the designtech unit used in the 3G garage) in my wife's 2007 Odyssey.
I do think the Hamsar units are higher quality. There's a couple of horror stories of the Designtech units "melting" over on the Odyssey boards.

yeah i bought a designtech but then realized that it runs at reduced intensity, so that idea is out the window. i will install it in the GF's MDX.

yeah, the hamsar should work how i want it to, but weher do you buy their products from? I searched around online and i can't find a retailer?
