This is one of my first few posts as a member of the forum, but I couldn't resist:

I used to be such a Queensryche fan it was absolutely insane. Up through the Hear on the Now Frontier album, I knew every word to every song (including B-sides and singles releases) that Queensryche ever wrote IN THE ORDER IN WHICH IT APPEARED ON THE ALBUM. I mean from the EP release, to Warning, to Rage for Order, Etc.

That is a sickness, it is nothing to brag about. I stand ready to be insulted. Empire is good, but Operation Mindcrime will forever be that band's seminal release.

I have had that one in my hands several times but didn't buy it because I own it on CD. I'm going to buy it if someone tells me it kicks the cd's ass.

I agree that Mindcrime is their top album but Empire is a good album as well, even though it became a radio album. Mindcrime is to the Ryche like Screaming for Vengence is for Judas Priest, it's just hard to top.

True---
Screaming for Vengaence is a fantastic CD
I would love to see Queen -news of the world remastered for DVD-a instead of the game...that cd is kinda ghey--Dragon Attack is cool though.

I just paid a visit to the DVD-A section of my local Best Buy...wahoo, they had Queensryche!! ...wait a minute, where's the Digital Dolby logo, or for that matter I don't see any reference to 5.1 anywhere on the jewel case.

It looks like it's just re-recorded at 24-bit/96kHz, and no 5.1.

Oh, I did pick up "Tesla - Standing Room Only"...poped it in the TL on the way back to the office; excellent 5.1 mix from a live performance.

I have Tribe by Queensryche in DVD-A. It is mastered in 5.1 and sounds killer, FWIW.

I bought it 24DEC04--the day after I bought the TL.

I had the CD: the DVD-A sounds a little bit better,
but it wasn't remastered in 5.1 like the demo song #5..

Mindcrime WAS awesome--and the video was way bitchin.

When I was a single sailor living in the Barracks--Oak Harbor Washington, we would drink massive amounts of beer and watch
Mindcrime, The Wall, Quadraphinia, or that likes.

I could almost hit the 8 octive range of the Queensryche dude...NOT.
Pretty close though..
That guy was an Opera Singer in his earlier years--no SHIIT!

The Mindcrime Logo is bitchin--would look good on the rear winscreen of the TL.

Got sidetracked/tangent deviation:
It's OK.

I want to get the REM Best of--including Orange Crush.

I think I'm getting acclamated to the Stereo fidelity and output level,
like I'm getting use to the power of the engine...

MORE POWER SCOTTY!
