Dumbest Question Ever
This sounds really dumb, but where did you guys put the leather folder with manuals and stuff in the car. I tried putting it in the Glovebox but it doesn't fit. What to do now?

Glove box's these days are ridiculous! I bought an auto storage bag at Target that fits all the manuals and the other little tidbits that I had in the center console of my mini van. The bag can go in the back seat on the floor or in the trunk. I left the insurance and registration in the glove box, but you're right, that 'binder' thing doesn't fit worth beans! Or, you can get it in there if you turn it over like MR1 says, but then nothing else fits in there! Ugh!

A dumb question is only that which is not asked.........
Like others mentioned,,, wouldn't it be nice if they had a specific "pouch" in the trunk for the manual etc.? Definitely takes up entirely too much room in the glove-box or center area.

It's definitely a tight fit in the glove box and it seems to fit in only one way.
I took out the short reference (cheat sheet) TL spiral guide out of the leather folder and put that in the center console box, that I use more often than the owners manual and it made the large bulky leather fodler fit in better in the glove box.

Same place on top of the Navi DVD along with a craftsman tool case. It all rests on top of the Navi and goes nowhere because the net keeps it in place.

I stuffed it in one of the pockets in the rear doors. Its out of the way, doesn't slide around on my floor, and is (semi) easily accesible from inside the cabin in case I ever need it. Most people get in my back seat and don't ever even notice that's it's there. That wasn't the case when I had it on the rear floor.

Did I miss something? I just double checked. There is a space behind the liner but how do you get to it? My 05 was built and delivered in 11/04!

Only way I got it to fit in mine was to put it in first with nothing else in there. Then add other items on either side of the pouch. If you remove the damn thing you are probably going to have to pull everything out and start over.
Only other thing in my "glove" box is a maglight and the registration and insurance papers. Just curious - what is everyone else keeping in there?

It seems like a lot of people have been able to fit the folder in the glovebox, i tired it again lastnight, and no dice. The only I can fit it in by closing it really slowing while pushing down on the folder. But when I open it again it, the folder is stuck so i have to put my hand around the folder and push it down.
This sucks...I'll have to try some other combinations again to see if it will fit.

I sincerely hope that everyone who is leaving this in the car, is removing the valet key first!! It is very easy to slim jim your way into cars (I know my previous car was stolen from my driveway WITH the doors locked, and the alarm active). If you don't remove this key you are really really asking for trouble!! Imagine a small timer thief breaking into the car for quick cash, radar detector or some CD's finding the key to the car......NOT GOOD!!

It fits in the MIDDLE of the glove box with the curved edge facing out.
There should be a separate fixed slot for it at the top of the glove box like many other high-end cars.

Why in the world would you leave the valet key in the manual in the first place? I know my keys along with the code all came on a keyring and not in the manual.

Acura has a standard leather binder, so I can't imagine yours would be different. The dealer may have taken the key out and put it in a seperate key ring, but this is not the way it was delivered to me.
Personally I don't understand why this binder even needs to be in the car in the first place! Mine is safely stowed at home! I just wanted to put out a warning!

One of the reasons some people can easily fit the binder in the GB is because early O4 TLs had a smaller zip-style leather binder. The TL now comes with a slightly bigger binder with a curved edge - it fits POORLY in the GB.
