I've seen plenty of pictures of 2007 and 08 TL's with 2 halo rings in each headlight. Would this be possible on a 05? I ask because the 05 only has one projector, so Idk how you would attach the second one

Please elaborate on "2 halo rings". Do you mean the silver trim piece around the headlight projector? Actual led halo rings that light up? Dual projectors ( both low beam and high beam)?

I'm assuming you mean dual projectors - in which case (like many swaps on this forum) it IS possible to do, but not nearly worth your time, money, and effort.

Quoting this from another thread....

"What happens is that the DRLs in the 07-08 headlights use 9005 bulbs which are suppose to run at 6.4 Volts... and in 04-06 headlights the opening is made for fog lights using 9006 bulbs at full 12 volts. What this means is that when you swap your 9006 bulb into the DRL opening and turn it on it generates heat that the shrouds are not made to withstand hence they melt. I have had this problem with two of the members whos headlights I have worked on in the past."

Yea I was talking about putting the 2nd projector in. Would it be possible to mount 2 halo/angel eyes in each projector without putting in the 2nd projector?

if all you want is the angel eye mod then yes, you can open up the headlights and add a universal led angel eye.. but imo dual angel eyes on the 3rd gen doesnt look good.. most dual angel eye mods ive seen on the TL look like a cheap knock off wannabe of the bmw headlights

How are you planning on attaching halo to this non existent projector? Is it just going to float there?

I mean... thats why I was asking. Otherwise I could probobly use picture hanging wire or something

I mean I guess you can put a fake projector there and then mount them on that . But at that point, you might as well just put in a real projector and have it be functional

I have a set of 05 headlights and added one angel eye per headlight. I too,wanted to add two per headlight, but found it is almost impossible to make it look clean. Therefore, I stuck with one. Check out my thread:

I've always wanted two angel eyes per headlight. Therefore, I bought a cheap set of 07-08 headlights, which are still sitting in a box in my office. My next project is to modify these and sell my 05 headlights.
