Dropping a TL

What springs to you recommend for dropping a TL with 17 inch OEMs and no body kit. I don't want the car too low, as I didn't get the body kit because it is very easy to bottom out around here. As for the rims, I don't plan on getting bigger ones for a while. Not sure how much I want to drop the car, whatever looks good I guess. Don't want it very low. Thanks

the car is pretty low to begin with for a factory car. in nyc you know how the roads are and don't want to go too much lower. someone posted part numbers for the A-spec springs. if you can get those i would go for that. i think the price was 550 for springs and shocks. which i think is a great deal for Acura suspension engineered for the TL. i believe its a 1 inch drop but people have claimed less than an inch. the front is suppose to be actually softer while the rear is a little stiffer. all these bumpy roads in the city don't get a stiff suspension. if you don't have rattles now you'll definitely start to develop some while driving.

I live on Long Island, but there are some nasty speed bumps around me that I am afraid to drive my TL over. There area also some road problems, but not near that of the city. Either way, I live close enough to the city to drive to it when I need to, and being low there wouldn't be the best thing to do.

Like many people on the forums I used Comptechs and am happy. Also, people have used Eibachs and been very happy. If you have the dough, I would go Tein.
