DRL Module - How do I stop it from delaying.

Sorry to start a whole new thread for this answer, but I can't seem to get a reply on the old thread about DRL.

I know on the original DRL module there was a wire we could cut and take away the delay for the DRL's. I have a new model, that does NOT have any exposed wire to snip.

Has anyone had any success opening it up and cutting something to stop the delay? I'm not concerned so much with the delay on but I'm afraid that the lights staying on for 20 seconds after the car is off is slowly eating away at my battery life. Any info would be great!

Thank you in advance.

Will a 20 second delay really effect the battery that much?

If the battery is your only worry, I wouldn't sweat it. Many of us have had this for years without much impact on the battery. I used to have LEDs on my DRLs that stayed on 24/7, even when the car was off, because of the module! I didn't worry. It'll charge up next time you start the car, don't worry.

Ok...sounds good guys. Thank you...I guess I was thinking it was a problem because yesterday I turned on the car, had to turn it off immediately to unlock the glove and restart it and it struggled a little. But maybe it would do that no matter what after being off all night.

I'm running the yellow nokya 80 watt bulbs and i actually kinda like that they stay on after I leave the car.

Just carefully open the box and cut the looped green wire inside.

When starting the TL the main priority is emissions recovery.. So if you started it, then turned it off, then tried to start it again quickly it wouldn't suprise me if it took it a few extra seconds before it turns over. The manual states starting times may vary because the car is trying to minimize harmful emissions

Thank you for the information guys...I guess if I opt to do it I'll snip the green wire. If not, i'll just NOT turn car on and then off and then back on.
