Driving my Car Too mUch?...

I just took my TL to vegas for the weekend (i live in SD) and i put about625+ miles on it this past weekend. Now my mileage is upt o 10,095. I feel bad that i drove it soo much..does mileage do anything for me. My car is not eeven a year old yet. I had it for about 9 months now.

The average mileage on cars yearly is about 12-15K miles. I think you are on the average side. I had about 12K miles after 12months. And 10K miles especially if most is predominantly highway isn't bad at all, even at 9months.

Dude, don't sweat it. Use your car. Enjoy it. That's what you spent all that money for; you didn't pay $30k+ for a hunk of metal that will just sit there.

Besides, excluding the minor annoyances (rattles, dash piece gaps, etc), your Acura is a very well engineered machine and you should expect to get a ridiculous amount of miles out of any Honda product (especially highway miles).

I've had my TL for 8 months and I'm already up to 8500 miles.

I bought my car in mid december here in chicago, two days later i took it to colorado on a ski trip. as of today i got close to 5k miles on it. I plan on takin it easy for a while but i dont have any regrets about driving so far so fast, thats what i bought it for. Dont worry about it.

High miles and Honda/Acura go together like yin/yang. Thats why you paid more for it than a Kia, Hyundai.

I've had my TLS for 2 weeks and already have over 1200 miles. The bad part is that I haven't left my local area yet.

Isn't that why you bought it in the first place? A TL is meant to be driven, and enjoyed!

I'm over 50. 55 miles a day for work, 4 trips to Baltimore to get daughter a Scion TC and other errands in local area add up. I haven't driven around town yet, i.e., the Washington beltway. Now that would be a good racetrack.

LMAO! Yeah right! I wish... hahaha... about the only time the beltway comes even close to anything resembling a racetrack is mid-day or late at night, and even then it's still busy and you have to look out for cops...

don't worry about the mileage! Hondas last forever... I'm sure that's at least a small part of everyone's rationale for why we bought a TL in the first place... I've put 11k miles on mine in 7 months... 12-15k/year is an average person's yearly mileage in any car and you're right on pace

your warranty will end within half year in that rate... which will increase your horsepower to 300

LOL - You must go home every 15 minutes at that rate. Only 2 miles yet already has 8,815 miles means that you've made 4407.5 trips so far. There are only 20 working days in a month so 6 * 20 is only 120 and 4,407.5/120 is around 37 trips a day. Wow!

You got yours the same time I got mine, but you have 31k more miles then me. You need to stop driving I wish I can use the car more. Working in the city = no driving for me
