Drivers Side Mirror...

Does anyone know if the mirror (piece of glass) is covered under the factory warranty or the CPO warranty? i have an 06 tl with 49000 miles on it and the mirror is rusting.

It is pretty weird, all the outside edges of the mirror are starting to rust. Would they replace this under warranty? has anyone else had this happen?

It doesn't hurt to try. If the P/S mirror is fine, then I don't really see a reason why not?

My driver side mirror has rust spots under the glass too and I asked my dealer and they said it isn't covered under the Acura Care extended warranty. Sucks, but I'm just living with the rust. I can't believe my car is over 6 years old already!!

OP, your not under the extended warranty yet, so I'd give a try. Good luck.

I believe that yellowish stain is caused by leaving the mirror heater on for an excessive amount of time.

If Acura won't cover them, it might be a better upgrade to install Multivex mirrors.

Interesting....i never thought leaving the heated mirrors on would cause that. i have only owned the car for six months and have only turned on the heated mirrors two or three times. if they were on for too long wouldn't the passenger mirror start to show the same signs??

Nevertheless, thanks for the help!!
