It's on the passenger side firewall. Very easy to replace. Usually a search for "APP sensor replacement" or something similar will find the info.

Try this...https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p...sensor-730958/

I'm not looking for the App sensor I changed that and it drives the same. I looking for the dbw unit because I have a diag code from abs 83-19 ecm/pcm relation failure and I looked up the dbw unit and some listing on ebay call the dbw unit an ecm. I get really aggravated with the way my car accelerates slow and hesitates until vtech.

I "think" the ECM is inside near in the front/lower part of the center console. Do not quote me on that...have never needed to go looking for it so basing that response off of things I have read on here.

Maybe providing a little more details about the issue at hand would help others point you in the right direction.

The acceleration is slow off the line and the revs get kinda high, but the car is going no where. I don't even want to do exhaust mods bc The car will be loud and slow. The ecu reset method only last like 15 minutes and then the car goes back to being sluggish and the shift aren't as smooth. If I drive in sport shift mode and try to do a second gear pull around 4k rpms the car hesitates and the revs hang.

Define "the car is going no where" since this first sentence sounds like transmission slipping issues. However your further descriptions seem to describe it is just slow, not that it revs but goes nowhere. If the engine RPMs are increasing without an increase in speed, the transmission is slipping.

A pause/lag at 4k sounds like a VTEC issue....others will need to chime in here. I know there have been other threads with similar complaints at the 4k mark, but I don't remember the details of what the suggested fix was other than check your oil.

Sorry didn't explain that well but the transmission doesn't slip and I got a code 83-19 Ecm/pcm relation failure I cleared the code and the car was running strong and smooth for like 15 mins. I called the dealership yesterday and the guy told me that code is the APP sensor. I bought a new one last december and installed it, but I retuned it a month later because The car was still acting the same. I guess the one I bought was defective.

have you checked to make sure it's not just a bad battery or loose battery terminal?

I have a new battery but it's 600 cca. I heard some guys saying 750 cca is better. I do have a subwoofer but There was a time I disconnected it when I got my new battery but the car was good for a couple hours.
