Downgrade 08 key?

The key is way too bulky for my taste, im feelin the 04-06 keys (key and alarm is seperate). I was wondering if there was any possible way to downgrade it

you can do anything as long as you have $$$ to spend. You are defiantly a minority for not wanting the switchblade key

i think it makes sense for those of us with aftermarket alarm systems... i hate having to carry my 2-way remote with a switchblade key... it would be alot lighter if it was the older 3G TL key...

Is your valet key a "normal" key? If so you might be able to have the dealer get a laser cut key that will operate all of the cars functions that doesn't have the integrated remote.

You can have a valet key made without the valet block (for the glovebox access) and then buy an 04-06 TL remote and use that. The remote should work pretty well with the car.
