Door Edge Guard Installed

It wasn't too difficult to install the edge guards. The color was perfect match as well. The only scary thing was scraping off the silion stuff inside each door.

Can someone tell me a simple way of attaching pictures for easy vewing? I think Ron A really wanted to see these.

Thanks.

Thanks anyway. Maybe soon. Soopa said we will be able to post pictures soon.

I guess you didn't have body side moldings on yet when you put the door edge moldings on. Since you have actually seen the moldings, do you think it will be hard or impossible to put the door moldings on with the BSM already on?

Ron:

I will send you some pictures if you want me to. I think the edge guard only takes up about 0.25 in (or less) in width, so I am not even sure if this is going to be a problem for you.

Thanks, novice. I guess the pm is not working yet, but I will pm you my email address for the pictures when it comes back on. I am not in any great hurry but am still interested. The guy put my BSM right to the edge of the door, which from what I have seen is where most of them go on other cars, but that doesn't leave any room for the door moldings. Do you think I could cut a notch in the door molding to slip around the BSM?

Hmmmm. I am not sure. You may not want to cut anything on the highly visible area. I will send you the pictures when things are back to normal!

Man, how did you insert the above picture? If you explain to me how to do so, I will try it one more time. Thanks.

in the advanced mode of replying just below size there is an icon there which looks like a moutain. click it...and then a box will appear. locate the file on the web and right-click it to see its properties. get the website address and copy and paste it into the box that popped up....

Thanks, guys, I am getting the picture. Now I will have to decide if I want the door moldingsbecause thenI would have to cut them at the BSM so they stop at the top of the BSM and the second piece starts at the bottom of the BSM.

That is how I have my el-cheapo Walmart door moldings now, and they don't look too bad but the Acura ones will look better.

I don't think I want to attempt to remove the BSM that's on the car now. They seem stuck on pretty good and I might screw up the paint, besides needing either new moldings or new sticky stuff for them. Maybe I will check with a good body shop and see how much trouble it will be.

Thanks again

Ron

Glad I can help. It turned out that adding pictures was more difficult than finding a cure for a disease.
