You can adjust when the doors lock and unlock. I have mine set up to lock when I put the car into drive and unlock when I put it in park.

I think you're talking about the doors locking after you've gotten out? I've witnessed this as well, but only when I've opened the trunk. It seems that if I left the car unlocked, but opened my trunk with the remote, a few minutes after I close the trunk, the doors seem to lock.

I'm not sure what the trigger is, and would sure like to know as well. I end up putting my keys on my desk in my office, but then want to grab something from the car and when I go out to the garage, the doors are locked, even though I know I left the car unlocked when I got out.

I think if you open the door with the remote and don't actually open the door in a specified time it will relock.....

The lock up when you drive away is set-able in the MID. I believe it's either when you shift from "P" or when you reach xx MPH (10 mph??).

If you unlock the doors with the remote, but do NOT open a door, the car will lock in ~30 seconds.

So for example, you don't want the doors locked and as you walk away you purposely push "Unlock" to make sure the doors are open ---> 30 seconds later, the doors lock.

There may be other scenarios. Best place to look ..... (surprise!!) ..... the Owners Manual.

If you don't have one, look here:

maybe i can answer this for you.....
say you unlock the door with the remote (it was previously locked)..if you don't open the door within couple of seconds the door will automatically lock itself..
but if you unlock the door and open it..and close it again..the door will not lock
does that answer your question?
