You take your car in for rattles that dont stop for more than 30s at a time on your commute and when the dealer takes you for a drive to reproduce, they wont rattle.

Same deal with my 3rd gear issue. Its pretty intermittant, and wont show up when the dealer is in the car either.

Good news. I got a call from the dealer and the tech heard the bigger problem rattle while out testing the other door. They said there is a TSB out for it with updated trim pieces.

Side note- I have a TSX as a loaner. I can say Im really really glad I decided not to go with it when I bought mine.

I have already gone through what you will go through with that 3rd gear issue.

They will first change the fluid. Then they will try different fluid. Then they will recommend changing some syncros out.

Then finally the tranny. Save yourself the heartache and put the GM syncromesh in.

I figure. I just want it documented on my warrenty record. So if something happens I can go, "see, I told you so!"
