I am wondering if Acura has a hiddend feature for over speed limit feature.
I know BMW have this feature. With the over speed limit feature you can set your desire speed limit and when your driving speed limit hits the over speed limit setting you will get a warning beep.

Someone may find this feature very useful when driving in a strictly enforce speeding zone.

Cruise control does a great job of keeping you at the proper speed in strictly enforced zones or when being followed by Johnny Law.

I've had times where you notice you are going way to fast for a short time IE passing someone.. so i can see why it could be a nice feature, then again maybe annoying if you can disable it.

You can turn on and off any time you want. My 1980 BMW 320i have this feature and it even records and stores the last maximum speed.

Teng,
I am sorry, but you seem to be starting a very high number of worthless strings.
Did you retire early?
Maybe you are just a very inquisitive person.

I bought 07 TL w/NAV about two weeks ago and I have all kinds of things to ask and besides it kind off slow at work so I need to kill off some time. I'll be posting less when I am getting bored with my new TL.

Mine would probably be going off constantly, like Homer Simpson's "Everything's OK alarm," if we had such a thing!

No. No overspeed feature on the TL.

However, I had a Mercedes B-Class rental when in the UK last Fall. It had this function built into the cruise control stalk.

It worked by pushing back against your foot if you tried to go faster than the preset limit. And, it just wouldn't let the car go faster.

Man, I thought a squirrel had gotten into the air cleaner or something. It was a strange feeling.

Once I figured out how it worked, it was great. And comforting because they use a lot of speed cameras in Scotland, England, Wales, and Ireland where I was driving.
