TL vs TSX
TL vs TSX
Im stuck between the tsx and the tl, especially in the colors of white and tan interior. What are the pros and cons. Fellow TL owners, convince me! oh yeah, most likely buying used...
get the TL
please do a search in the forum, there are NUMEROUS threads that speak about this very topic...there are hundreds of responses that will help you in making your decision
TSX is underpowered, small, and not worth the money IMHO. Get the TL.

You should have posted in the Non-Biased Acurazine forum =p
In all seriousnessesesness... Uhm yeah; go with the TL. I've been the passenger in a few TSXs; and my friend @ a dealership has two used ones right now.. We both agree that while they are nice they are a little on the bland side as far as performance and the driving experience; nothing wrong with them at all - but it's kinda like soup from a can. Doesn't taste bad as is, but you know better soup exists. (that's code for "get the TL").

I think after TImmahh's comment, I will now go and have an "existensial meltdown"

that's funny you mention it
I just turned in my TSX for a TL. My only regret with the TSX is not spending the extra $4-5k to get the TL. I would have bought the lease out! The TSX is a great car if you are ok with a 4cyl. It handles great and is fun to buzz around... but where the TSX is sporty the TL is just down right fast. I had a AT TSX and the auto is too quick to go to the next gear -- great for MPG but not for fun. You end up lugging it a lot and it takes a second for the car to gear down. And overtaking a car going up a hill with the A/C on and passengers isn't impressive. The back seat is a bit cramped on the TSX if the drivers are over 5-9, but the TSX trunk is actually larger. If price is an issue, the TSX is VERY nice in its class (compare it to what Toyta and Nissan offer), but TL has A LOT more luxury and umph if you can swing the price.
Both the TSX and TL are great cars. The TL is just a tad more refined than the TSX, has a much larger interior cabin as well. Its like the difference between the 5-Series and 3-Series BMW (I feel the TL is in the class of the 5-series, TSX with the 3-series).
With the technology package, the TSX is a great deal. It is more fuel efficient than the TL. If its price + operating costs that you are after, TSX is the better deal, tho the TL did earn lowest cost to own in its price segment.
Also if you didn't know, parts and construction of the TSX is 100% from Saitama, Japan (my hometown!), where as the TL is Ohio, USA. If you're one to fret about build quality, that may also be something to consider.
If you are considering the TSX or TL, you might want to wait a little longer for the next generation TL/CL/TSX/RSX replacement/S2000 replacement(badged with Acura), or perhaps the 2008 Honda Accord coming out later this summer, which I think looks very refined.

The 6M in the TSX makes it a fun car; with the automatic the TSX is pretty ordinary from a performance standpoint. I was looking for a nice quiet, refined driving car with some performance capabilities. The TL is a bit faster and slightly larger.
My wife asked me to get an auto tranny car, so I got the TL (quieter and more refined than the G35 in 2005). Don't let her know I'm happy with the TL-- I need to hold it over her head when I argue for that Porsche GT3 because she wouldn't let me get the 6M TSX...

"Vs. Threads" normally go in Car Talk.
You will get more exposure and more input for subjects not exclusive to the 3G TL.
Your responses here are going to be biased toward the TL, of course.
I can't move threads between forums so feel free to repost your original thread over there.
