Does my 2006 TL have a Drive By Wire throttle?

Hey gang, I've noticed the throttle is very touchy on my TL, especially when the engine is cold; it almost acts like the DBW throttle programming of my former 2002 530i. My question is, if these cars do in fact have DBW, is there a way to reprogram the throttle to be more linear?

If it does not have a conventional throttle cable present, then it should be DBW (i.e. Throttle Body, Electronic Control; 16400-RKB-003) .

Not sure about programming it to be more linear.

yes our TL is DBW, unfortunately you can't tune the throttle response toward the dull side (you can do the other way around). However if you drive around for a while and not get on throttle too much the ECU will learn and adjust throttle response to your driving habit, quick question tho did you unplug the battery recently?

Thanks for the response folks, I've found what I call the "Throttle Response Enhanced" feature of DBW works pretty well on cars with automatic transmissions, but with manual gearboxes, it can be a real pain. It is a distinct possibility the battery was recently disconnected; that said, I've only owned the car for a bit over a week and I haven't disconnected it in that time.
