Yes it does. It works the same way like on auto. Clutch or brake will cancel the cruise.

say you are in 6 gear cruising at 75, then you have to go up hill. does the computer automatically increase rpm for you?

Yes! It maintains the speed by giving gas (increasing RPM). However, if you change gear (disengage clutch) or brake it will cancel the cruise.

here's another one,
say you are cruising on 5th gear, then you press ACC button on the steering wheel to increase speed. it's not going to jump to 6th for sure, but what happens if you run into the limit rpm of 5th gear?

leo if you are in 5th gear I assume you are above 40 MPH. Also on 5th at that speed RPM stays at around 2500-3000. To reach rev limiter you'll have to cruise above 120-30 or more MPH I guess. Also, I think there is no rev limiter for manual tranny but I may be wrong.

Sure does! And I must say it does a great job at maintaining your speed. I have only noticed a one or two MPH change. Only on the steeper hills will you need to downshift. All you have to do is press the "resume" button once you've let up on the clutch. Takes a little coordination to get it smooth, but nothing major. HTH

It will increase the throttle input to maintain the speed and therefore the maintain (not increase) the RPM.

It sure does have a limiter! Hit it several times by accident. Oops!

To svtmike;

Thanks, I was going to offer that, but glad you did. An increase in RPMs is just the effect of opening the throttle a bit more, not the cause.
