Do you work on your own car?
I do what I can, but I've got pretty much zero tools, and live in an apartment building. I'm also underage so I can't barter tools with alcohol. You can see the type of problem this would pose.
I'd love to work on my own car myself, but I don't have the means to do so.

I do every last thing to all my cars, even body and paint work. I think i had one thing done and that was trim work inside, until i leaned how to do it myself! I dont know how you feel proud of something you didnt build yourself.

Nobody will ever be as careful and care for your car the way YOU will. I've never had anything but bad luck when I leave it with sum jamoke to so something.
Last time I took it to the dealer, the clear on the fenders was scratched (where they leaned over the engine compartment to change brake fluid, w/o using a fender skirt), and my radio was messed with and blaring when I got back in it.
Then I had a horrible tinting experience where the d00d left a huge 8inch scratch, down to metal, on the rr quarter....he did pay to have it fixed, but of course that was a fight.
So I do everything I can myself.....which is almost everything!

half of the fun of being a car enthusiast is learning how to do things yourself. you save money, you gain knowledge, and you get to say "i did that".
everyone should learn how to work on their own cars.

I thought the of age was 18 in Canada
I've found this car to be easy as hell to work on. Get yourself a copy of the Service Manual and make sure to check the 3G Garage for detailed instructions on how to do just about anything!
For anything I am unsure of (like my springs install last weekend), I call on my friends for a driveway modding session!

I won't let anyone touch my car unless it's as others have stated, I don't have the $20,000 machine to do it. Bodywork is one of those things I won't touch. I flat out don't have the talent for it.
I did my first serious engine build at 17yrs old and it just progressed from there. I actually started by racing Briggs and Stratton engines.

I do all the maintenance on my vehicles and the TL is the easiest to work on, even easier then my Chevy p/u. I just recently did the 105k service including spark plugs as well as all 3 motor mounts and all four break pads and rotors and it only took a couple of days and that was with a Bears game in between.
I drop the TL off with a shop when maintenance is needed -- battery, fluid & filter changes so far. I did replace wiper blade inserts and the Navi DVD on the TL.
I haven't changed any fluids or done a valve adjust on any vehicle in many years, although I've replaced a few non-TL car parts since then.

Mods and stuff such as exhaust I enjoy doing myself (I cleared out my headlights, etc.) but I have a friend who is a master tech at Honda here locally. I trust him and he hooks me up so it's worth my time and money for trouble-shooting / general maintenance to let him take care of it. I cut the shit out of my wrist a few years ago changing the oil on my old Tundra because some douche had used an impact gun to put the drain pan bolt on before I bought it. After that I swore I would never waste my time or effort changing the oil when it costs me $20 to have someone else do it.
This is the first car that I've started doing some of the minor maintenance myself and I love it. I learn a lot easier by having someone show me first. Wish I could call on friends to driveway mod!
Yes. A-Spec kit, TL-S tails, air filter, cabin filter, cabin filter, umm that's all I can think of at the moment. Just had an A/C problem and for that I definitely took to the dealer, I'm not even gonna try to fuk with that stuff.
Things a shop did- AEM V1, Rear upper control arms, tints, AEM Uego A/F gauge
Things I did- Exhaust, J-pipe, PCD/Pro-cats,Doms install, springs, 2 sets of coilovers, Supercharger, IM spacer, CT short shifter, tails, boost gauge and some other stuff.
Some of it really depends how fast I want it done as Im pretty busy with 4 kids and work.

Except an alignment LOL and I can't mount tires. But I did do my own 105k service, oil changes, yaddi yaddi.

Of course, that doesn't stop the rest of the teenage population getting a bit of a head start.
