do i sit too far back
LOL at thread....
what ever you're comfortable with.
I have a six speed and I need to have control over all three pedals.
With an auto, I am able to relax a little and have it farther back if its comfortable.

I'm 6'1 and I like to sit with my seat all the way back and down. I've got a 7th gen Accord, so I'm sure it's somewhat similar. But to be honest, there are a lot of seat positions I'm comfortable with. Whatever suits you.
In the Driver's Seat
*Enter and exit your car by sitting and pivoting on the car seat.
*Move the car seat forward so your knees are slightly bent and higher than your hips.
*Sit up straight.
*Rest the spine on the back of the seat. A small lumbar support or cushion may make the car seat more comfortable.
*Don't drive sitting far back from the wheel or pedals. Adjust the seat distance to avoid stretching that can strain the low back.
*Drive with both hands on the wheel.
*Sitting Sensibly
*Do not sit in one position (called static) for a prolonged period of time. Every half hour stand up, stretch, and walk for a few minutes. This will increase circulation, relax tight muscles, and can actually help you to be more productive!
*Don't slouch or slump.

Too far forward. You should take the driver's seat out completely and drive from the back.
Whatever you feel comfortable with, try out different positions and pick which feels the best (that didn't sound quite right lol).

What I usually do is sit in the rear passenger seat and drive from there. It's actually quite comfortable.
But seriously, just have the seat wherever it feels comfortable. We can't tell you what feels good to you.

as long as you are farther than 12" from the steering wheel, and you can reach the pedals, and see over the dash, you should be good
on a side note, i wrote a linear programming model in college that came up with the best seat position based on the users dimensions and the seat and steering wheel positions in the car. i should try to find that

No disrespect, but my back would give me a giant "fuck you" if I tried to drive with my seat like that. I like it slightly reclined but no gangsta lean here.
That's my excuse for not getting the power recline fixed, anyways.

I'm 6'1" and I like my seat fairly close to the wheel. I feel like I have better control. Since I recently learned the wheel telescopes, I pulled it all the way out and put the seat back a couple inches so I'm not so close to the wheel.
I also like it as low as it will go.
When I used to race at the strip I would put my seat all the way back for more weight on the rear. It was always awkward and I felt like I had no control of the car.
