My first attempt at writing a DIY thread. There is a video done by one of the members on Azine, it shows how to remove the front bumper. You can search it, it's very easy.

Good work. Don't like how it looks on a TL though.

my fog has to be on in order for led strip to be on. I dont know how to make it independent. Also i ordered wrong size of HID bulb for my fogs. thats the reason the fogs are not on.

That appears to be one happy TL. It's even smiling at me!

Anyway....

I was toying with the thought of LEDs on the front grill, but I'm just not so sure about it. Looks good on your car though.

Just did this on my 06 - getting tons of compliments on them. I didn't have to take off my bumper though - just used the 3m double-sided tape that the strip came with and mounted to the underside of the plastic bar that runs through the middle of the grill. I used a 19" strip cuz I don't have the fogs on 06. I had it wired so that the strips only come on with the ignition and I have a lighted switch inside so I don't need to run them during the day. Only thing is I might eventually switch them out for a brighter set (like on the new Benz's) so that they are more noticeable during the day. I got my strips from Oznium.....

Nice..i like it. Are those led's waterproof? Also, don't you think the fog HIDs will drown out the light from the LEDs?

I wanted to do hid fogs so i had to take out the bumper. I want to get it wired so i can run it independently, will be doing that in couple of weeks. Fog will overpower the led's so, i'll be getting brighter sets. also where can i get it??? I know you got your's from oznium, but do they sell brighter leds like Merck's.

can u post a pic with fogs on as well? I wanted to try this with those same led's, but was skeptical because they looked small and unnoticeable. It also seemed like they weren't waterproof. I must say they look good.

Nice DIY.
It would also look nice on the front grill itself, on each side of the Acura emblem. I would assume the grill would be blacked out in this case.

Patel2050, your mod inspired me and I decided to do it as well today. I know I may get flamed, but I actually like it. It looks even better at night, but here are a few pics. Now I'm thinking of doing the DRL mod.

That looks very good man. i thought fog would over power the led, but it doesn't look that way.

Its the same LED Patel2050 used. I bought it from Autozone. I pretty much followed his DIY. Only difference is I didnt take off the bumper, I went through the wheel well. And i wired mine to the parking light.

Thanx Steven, I've wanted to do this since seeing your headlights, but i didnt feel like opening the headlights again. I also figured I would be annoyed if a LED blew and I would have to open it up again to fix it. I've seen others post about LED strips on their grille, but I think Patel2050 did it the best. So much so, I had to do it myself. Props to you and your DIY Patel.

^ Good pictures and guidance. For LED strips you don't need to take off the bumper, snip wires, or go through fender wells to do this mod. I used a add-a-circuit and tapped in the RR Defroster (30amp) fuse to wire the LEDs- they are always on which is what I wanted.

While the strips don't look bright by day- they're still noticeable by day and very bright by night. I figure technology will improve and I might upgrade my strips when that happens. The 3M double-stick tape is pretty good and the strips have lasted many car hand washes with no issues. I used the Oznium LEDs.

I had to do install hid ballast for my fogs and (+) i am a bit overweight so i need as much clearance as possible. LOL
