Discounts from Part Counter...

Discounts from Part Counter...
There has got to be a way to get a discount on Acura Parts from the dealer.
As part of a T-Bird club, we had 15-20% discounts on any parts from F-L-M with one specific vendor. He shipped it to your door and you ordered via e-mail or phone.
It was SO great.
Doesn't anybody here work at a dealer for the parts dept? Wouldn't this be great to set-up. You get your customers online and make a ton of money on volume.
I for one paid $308 bucks for a new '05 TL rim when my wife pegged a curb. I know that the dealer gets that rim for way less.

I hear that. I just got an e-mail from Libertyville, IL Acura. They are 20 minutes from my house. They want $999.00 for the A-Spec body parts for my 07 TL-S. Plus he said he couldn't give me an estimate on install price. Where is the cheapest place to get just the A-Spec body parts. I don't mind payind $300 for installation, but I want to get the parts for less then $1,000. I am taking my car in tomorrow to get $1,100 worth of paint work from some jack ass that keyed my new TL-S My credit cars are almost at $20,000 again! And I want a set of 19" rims and tires

Get to know the Parts Manager with a $5 gift-box of donuts for the shop, and have a chat about various performance parts.
They have some room to work on the price for any reason they want. Its their overall profit that is the important thing. Taking 10-15% off is possible if you are buying a few things
and seem like you will buy more and tell your friends.

I just gave you the link that goes right to TL parts, but surf the whole site if you wish.
My dealer price-matches if I show them a print-out. Not sure if all dealers do, but Rosenthal Acura does in Gaithersburg, MD.

Thanks very much TL People! Today I am going in to have my $1100 of KEY SCRATCHES painted! It will take 4 days. I will do my best to get a discount on the A-Spec body kit for my 07 ASM TL-S. If I can't get a better price then $999 + install, I might do it anyway. I hope the parts can come in within 4 days. Then they can in stall after painting my passenger side. AFTER seeing that red 07 TL-S with the body kit, I can't wait!!! It makes the TL-S look SWEET!!!

I just dropped car off for paint. I talked with the parts Manager and told him the 20% off I can get at other dealers. I also am a loyal customer. Well the best he could do was 10% off SO I SAID, ORDER IT Can't wait anymore. HELLO credit card buddy I don't want to lower my 07 TL-S. So I was thinking on getting a slightly taller tire. FIRST I have to decide on a wheel. I DON'T KNOW what brand wheels are good quality??? HELP I was thinking of a 19" wheel? OR should I get 18"? Will I regret it if I get 18" wheels??? If I get 19" wheels, I was thinking about a 245/40/19 tire to fill the wheelwell. OR would 245/35/19 be better???? HELP ME PLEASE

There should be another GB soon for the A-spec kit when Tim's wife is better. I believe the price is 799.

AofE is just 5 miles away from me, so I don't have to mess with shipping or waiting. Acura of Lynnwood and others are also great on price. I don't understand why other dealers don't try this approach. I'm sure Scott has to have one of the best selling parts dept out of all dealers.

Being local to AofE must be nice. It's sad that I have to order parts from CA and have them shipped, but that's the way it goes...can't beat the price or service.
When I first saw the eBay store, I thought it was a great idea. What better way to boost your sales (and presumably your bonus) than to sell warrantied parts online?

Like I said- Its all about the total profit margin for the parts dept at the end of each month and for the year. A little off here and there to loyal customers (and shops) brings them back again and they do the most important thing- which is what you guys are doing here-
A HAPPY Customer TELLS 2 FRIENDS or more when you find a deal-
Make sure the body/paint dept knows the parts dept has things on order for you-
painting new parts is not a one step operation and everything needs to be there for primer and edge painting

Look here...
This is what I'm talking about...
Think about the profit you could bring in to the dealer!
http://forums.tccoa.com/forumdisplay.php?f=948
Why don't we have something here like on the T-Bird club?
PiZauL,
You want to step up to the plate and convince your dealer to give the Acurazine members a 15-20% discount on all parts? It's a win-win situation for you.
orgnlprankster7,
That is just wrong...but I understand.
