Yes it’s a longer race. The first one we ran at this track was 250 laps. An enduro car around here usually doesn’t have to have a full cage, it’s recommended but not required.

And yes this is an 1/5 mile oval, not a lot of speed but loads of fun.

250 laps is a lot no matter the track size! Our races are usually about 8 lap heat races & 12 lap features. 3/8 mile tracks.
We've got 3 TL's running now. 2 autos & a 6-spd. Mine is the #43 car.
(These pics are from "packing the track" for those not familiar, all cars just basically idle speed to seal the top layer of clay after watering it down. Full race suit, helmet, harness when actually racing).

Very kool! My son drives a RSX type s, that I first built to run road course enduros but I let him take it over and built another one for me but his is the only one with a full cage, my RSX S just has an auto cross type cage. The TL just has bars to mount belts too and a little door bar. My son races on some circle tracks sometimes too. He actually won the 250 lapper in his car, he got a Kings cape instead of a trophy, I lead the most laps until about lap 140 something and cooked the engine in the TL. The big race we look forward to once a year is at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola it’s called the Sweat Hog Grand Prix. A 90 minute road course race for Stock fwd 4 cyl only. The 250 lapper was at Pensacola dirt track, and that race is called the Crapper 250🤪😂😂, any 4-6 cyl pile can run.

Sharp looking rides. I like the woody scheme. Figured they'd get a little more beat up in those long races. Some folks around here do good to make 10 laps without totalling somebody out...
What kind of car counts do they have at those races?

Thanks much, had a lot of fun hand painting the woody surf mobile. For the Sweat Hog race we usually have 30-40, and yes some drive with little respect. But we try to stay away from them early because they usually don’t last very long. Now when my son ran some circle track races they were beyond rough, they were intentionally trying to wreck him. Never been that upset in all my years of racing. He’s run 3 races at this one track and has 3 wins and his first race there was his first race ever. Where do y’all race?

The race on the 1/5 mile we had 13 cars and that’s about how many they had at the circle track races, there’s another track near us that has 15-20 that we’ll be going to as well.

We live near Tuscaloosa & race at a few tracks in northwest Alabama and east Mississippi. Some of the tracks basically go by SCDRA rules, but allow 6cyl cars with about 800lbs heavier minimum weight.
Our closest couple of tracks have rules that are more strict like no gutting of body, must run factory airbox, no headers, etc. But they allow beadlocks & race tires on right side.

Depends on which track we are at. One allows beadlocks & race tires on right side. Most don't.
On 7" wheels & street tires, I run around 28 psi on right side. 18 or 20 on left front. Got a really small tire on left rear. 195/45-15 I think.. Probly has 35 in it. It will lift going in turns & not much weight on it anyway.
With beadlocks & race tires on right side, about 16 in both.
Rough track conditions, may add 5 psi all around depending how rough

Looks good.
We run 15x7 race wheels on our cars. Not sure how much different the air pressure will need to be on the 17" factory wheels.
Better to have a little too much than to roll one off the bead & not get to finish...
