The Ding King

Has anyone tried to use the Ding King Tool to remove small dents. If so what do you think. Is it worth the $20. Will it harm the paint? I have a small dent I would like to fix but not big enough to have a company come out to fix.

Someone wrote here that you have to GLUE the thing onto the paint so you can pull the dent out. Then how do you get it off without screwing up the paint?

Do a search, but I don't think it's worth it.

Would be a complete waste of money.......

Spend the extra and have a professional Paintless Dent Removal guy perform the job. You'll be much better off.

It works OK for certain types of dents as long as they're not too large and have no sharp creases. But you need to go over the dent quite a few times before the dent disappears and it's never quite totally gone (although usually much better than before).

te professionals also use a certain type of glue device like this one...but its much more potent, and works much better. I had it done on my car, as I had 3 bad dents. He only needed to use the glue method on one of them, because of where it was. It was on the section of the car where the roof curves up...between the rain guard rail and window. All 3 dents are gone, you cant tell there was anything there, unless you really scrutnize it. Costed my $150. No paint damage or anything....good luck..

PS, for those in NJ PM me, I will give you his info...he works around the Princeton/Bonhamton area...

Consumer Reports reviewed this some time back (you have to be a member to search their archives). From what I remember, they said you have to do the procedure several times and even then they weren't very impressed with the results.

IMHO, I paid over $30,000 for my TL and wouldn't mess around with an "as seen on TV" product on it.
