I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2004 ACURA TL SP EDITION . I WAS CHECKING THE DIGITAL DISPLAY THAT GIVES THE OIL LIFE AND IT SAID 40% SO I GOT A OIL CHANGE AND OIL FILTER REPLACED . SO I THOUGHT THE MECHANIC HAD RESET THE OIL DISPLAY BUT I GUESS HE DIDNT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING .SO NOW MY OIL LIFE READING IS AT 20% PERCENT AND I CHECKED THE DIPSTICK AND IT SHOWED THAT IT WAS FULL SO HOW CAN I RESET THE DIGITAL OIL READING ???
Ayyyyyyy 909 in da buildin. Im from pomona wsup homie.
Yo you gotta hol dat bitch down to reset the oil life ma dude. Turn yo key to ii jus b4 u cranking da engine, and u hold select button on steering wheel on oil life menu, and then it will ask u if u wanna reset, u hit select to hit ok and it will go bak from 0 to one hunnid.
it's NOT a digital readout of your oil level. it is an oil life count-down in %.
it says you have less than 20% life left of the oil, NOT if the oil is low or not.

Its oil life percentage. Not oil level percentage.
When an oil change is done, the level should be filled up and the digital life readout should be re-set by the mechanic to 100%. The level should stay full even when the readout is 0%.
Level shouldn't change unless the car is burning or leaking oil.
