Difficulty of doing timing belt? Debating on doing it myself

I purchased an 04 a few months back, it was low miles 6x,xxx but the manual states at 7 years you should do it. I've never done a Timing belt before but I have done a few 5 lug conversions and did a auto to manual on my old integra.

From what I see is basically you unbolt it, align the pulley to the mark and rebolt everything ? I didn't anything else.

Any first timers here have advice to give? Thanks

If you can do an auto to manual swap, you should be able to do a timing belt change I would think.

Just go buy yourself the Hayes manual for your car, and take your time.

Its not too bad if you pay attention to detail.
Remember, this aligns internal engine components.

Have a very large breaker bar and 3/4 impact handy too if you can for the crank pully bolt.

Use the steps in the acura service manual (found on here) and I would use blue locktite on everything.

Follow the manual step by step, tighten every bolt then check them all. One loose bolt in the timing cover can destroy you engine.

Gook luck

yea I had seen a mechanic do it on my own car and I was helping him out and it was not that hard at all. If you can do a tranny swap I am sure this is gonna be a piece of cake.

you never compare get Integra 5 lug conversion and change a transmission done with a V6 timing belt service. They are totally different jobs. Anyway with the correct tools is not so hard/difficult.
GL!!
