Diff in Navi & Non-Navi

What features will I miss out on if I choose not to get Navi? Other than the obvious navigation screen.

I don't use the navi & can really live without it.

Tradin' in the 03 WDP TL-S for a 6MT Black/Black.

Two little fluorescent displays vs. one big LCD display. No row of buttons for the nav replace by more plastic panel, multi-function display replaced by just a clock and clock setting buttons, no voice recognition for heater controls, not GPS antenna, and no directional/sun bias applied to the auto climate controls. Oh, and more than $2k cheaper if you strike now while navi is hot and non-nav are starting to build up inventory.

You just answered your own question! "I don't use the navi & can really live without it".

I think the navi setup makes the car look MUCH more Richer, more inviting inside! I sat in both and I immediatly said No way on the NON-Nav car! Even if I didnt use it I would get it.....I BET you would use it too...

I have to agree, the navi is worth every cent. The voice conrol is very very good, no setting clocks, and its fascinating after saying (show gas stations) watching how accurate the system is as you see every gas station on your route. Also nice is saying "register current location" if you are going by somewhere but don't have time to stop. It brings you back to the same spot. You can set up I believe 6 "today's destinations" and it calculates the most efficient routes.

The handsfree is flawless, do you even get that with non-navi models?

NAVI also provided "3D Solar Sensing" technology. Using GPS, the TL calculates your location in reference to the sun, and automatically adjusts the temperature on the appropriate side of the cabin to compensate for the heat created by direct sunlight in your window.

I kid you not.

That is sooo Kick ass!

Heck Im going to live in Alaska for 4 years and I would still get navi, even though there are no maps up there! Because when I come back to the states I will have it! The voice activation of things will still work though. Im not completly decided if Im gettting one just yet though...I would love to have one Now!

I have a non-NAV... At first I negotiated for a NAV, but it is $2000 grand option... Like you I don't need it, plus it's less distracting to go through the menus on the screen (audio, air, and etc.)

Don't get me wrong, I totally love the feature, but in my case, it's a matter of $$$.

I never bother looking at menus anymore as I have mastered the voice commands. All you do is have the voice feedback on and it confirms everything. I love it.

Agreed with Unlanca, I did not want to pay the extra money for something that to me is just kind of for show. Granted if you get lost it is good to have, I just think it is an overpriced feature.

The kicker for me was how incredibly little they did to fill up the great gaping space with no navi. On the TSX and Accord, they changed the A/C controls and so on to fill in the space. On the TL they just made the radio and A/C displays bigger and put a big black plastic nothing where the nav controls go. It just looks like they forgot to put something in there.
