No, you did not get ripped. The price is a little hight, but you are in Hawaii, where things are way more expensive than the mainland. We can get a better idea if you tell how much the car was before all the extra taxes and fees added on to it.

So about $32,000 before tax... I wouldn't say they got ripped off... the bodykit from the dealership and the 18"s will run you about $2500 to $3500 depending on the dealer. Depreciation on that TL would be about $3000-4000 .. so though I wouldn't say they got a great deal, I wouldn't say they got ripped off.

Hey I know this car. It used to belong to one of the service advisors at Pflueger. Had the kit, decklid spoiler, wheels but no suspension right?

So I'm guessing that you paid close to the sticker price they had on the car. Hmmmm.... Personally (and this is purely IMHO), I would have never paid anything more than $32k OTD. If you really break it down, the add ons are only worth about roughly $3k. It's like your parents only paid $3k less for a used TL with 11k miles (MSRP at Pflueger is $33,195).

Anyhow, It is a very nice and clean looking car. Just be happy that you get to run around it one of the few aspec looking TLs on the island. If you ever want to meet up to chat, just shoot me a PM. See you around.

yeah, i'm pretty sure that's the car you're thinking of. i knew i should have researched the pricing a little more.

anyhow, my parents suck at negotiating...they're too nice.

i'll get pics up by next weekend i think...

I would have jumped for joy at 8.25%. I paid 14.5% tax on my TL here in BC, Canada.

You've gotta pay for your national healthcare somehow, right?

True. Over 5k in taxes, and I am guaranteed a flu shot
Don't take me wrong though. I love my car and I feel it was worth every penny I paid, and then some!
