The TL-S tails would probably look good on any color........IMO.

They look okay

I just feel as if most TL-S parts should stay on TL-S's, not base models

I'm not sure your rationale for this? Most of the colors are the same between the base and type-s models except for the blues. Yes, DGP is not an '07-'08 color, but would you say the same thing if someone wanted to put TL-S lights on a black car?

I don't think these people are trying to make their cars look like something they're not. I think most like the type-s lights better and I think they compliment any color car. In fact, I'm contemplating putting them on my ABP.

Hell yeh on the tired-of-the-red-tail thing! I just hope these damn depo lights do not leak like i have been hearing. I have them sitting in their boxes awaiting time for install!

It's hard for me to explain. I guess a part of me is agreeing with what you said by people trying to make their car something it's not. There are a shit ton of TL's around here (very few on AZ though). A few weeks ago I saw a base 06 TL with the TL-S tail lights and a Type-S emblem on the back. It drove me up a wall.

In no way am I saying that they would look bad on any TL, no matter the color, but it's nothing I would do to my car. I was throwing my in without further explaining myself, my apologies.

OP, do what you think will look best on your car! Make it stand out.

i say take them apart and paint them DGP. If i didnt have NBP i would color match my tails to be different. I once had a WDP 04 TL and color matched the front headlights to match and loved it. I didnt want to be the one that had black or just cleared headlights so i went all out.

Isn't modding your car in any way making it something it's not? OP, do what you want to make your TL unique or the way YOU want it. Have fun!
