Congratulations
Welcome to Acurazine and to the Acura family.
Your price seems to be about $1,000 less than a good deal on a new TL with Navi. Not bad! Just look out for the hidden charges like "Dealer Fees". I suggest you reject them completely. They're BS.
Others can advise you on the body package- I haven't put it on my TL.

In my opinion price seems way too high for a demo. If I bought a used 05 with 7k miles, I'd expect maybe a 10-15% discount from new price; otherwise in my opinion its not worth the uncertainty of how its been driven thus far (I would imagine demos are driven pretty rough by test-drivers).

By the way, why do you even ask after you purchased one already?!

it seems many people on this site want to know if they were F'd in the A after something has already been done. Examples: A1 service, I paid $150 is it worth it? or B service or oil change. However I think it's human nature to think that they got a great deal and want to have it validated by other people.
Personally for a 7k car, $1000 wouldn't have done it for me.

Agree with everyone here, I think you got jacked...I know I drove the demo "like it was stolen" so I am sure others have done the same. As long as everything is under waranty I guess you dont really have to care too much

Personally I think it's bad deal only $1k off, the demos are always improper break in, I tested the demo b4 and I floor it on the high way. Who the hell know how many have done things like me. but congrat. with your new purchase.

So if you're happy with your car, congrats and enjoy the ride. If you wanted to get the best possible deal, I dont think you got it.
If I were you I'd do one of 2 things (assuming one has the time to spend)--
I'd tell them another dealer offered me a new car for (name your price here or actually get an aggressive price) and that you're willing to lose your $200 if they don't drop the price on the car. OR Go to another dealer, say you've put a $200 down payment elsewhere but if their willing to beat the deal significantly they've got the deal (I read in some thread that someone else actually did this).
Also I think that when people on this board (myself included) see an average deal they think its a bad one since most people here are educated on what the low-end price is. But it wouldn't suprise me if most people (ie the walk-in with no background research type) end up paying msrp or close to it. And if thats the case then maybe your price is more average.

kbb is unreliable. even edmund's TMV is off, as far as TL's concerned.
If I were to pay 32.5k for a demo with 7K, I'd tell them to throw in the A-Spec package. And since they were about to anally rape you with their bs price, I'd take my business elsewhere.
Even without much haggling, you should be able to get one around 33k - and make sure they throw in the pro-pkg (trunk tray, wheel lock, mud guards, trunk nets).

I'll tell you what, I thought it's a crappy deal. When I was bying mine, the saleman tried to sell me 2004/WDP/no Navi/with 2300 miles for $29000 and I didn't take it. I bought my 04/with Navi/WDP/5AT for 32,700 before tax. I'm in NJ so not that far from NYc. If I buy a brand new car, I do not buy demo, as almost all of them have been used for either SALEMAN driving (a way to promote cars) and they've been used for test drive( most people test drive the shit out of them) so I don't see the sense of saving about $2000 and get the hassle of wondering if they car had ever been properly broken in. But congrats on your new car purchased
I know when I test drove the TL prior to purchasing, I beat the crap out of that test car.

what the... this dealership sounds really cocky. i just can't imagine what kind of service they provide. i strongly suggest you call other dealerships - even if it's far away - since you will save $1000, give or take.
correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought dealers charged less if you ordered a car, rather than taking one off the lot (dealer holdback and what not).
you can buy the a-spec body kit for around 900 on ebay, which comes from a reputable dealership. 1400 is way too much.
honestly, you can't expect a good price from this dealership anymore. 1, the salesman must have sensed the you absolutely love the car and want it asap. 2, they have already offered you a bs price on a demo with 7k miles on it.. which means if they go lower on a new car (say below 33k like everyone else's paying), they're basically admitting to their bs price.
go on acura.com and locate other dealership in your vicinity. give them a call and tell them do the following, and i guarantee you will save a lot of $$.
1. ask them how many TL's with navi they have in stock, and in what colors.
2. pick a color, and ask them to get you the odometer reading.
3. tell the salesman you have an offer for 33.5k or 33.3k from your local dealership, but if they can come down to 33k and throw in the protection package, you'll make the trip to their dealership and make the purchase.
don't stop with the first dealership. call at least 2 and do the same.
i can do this for ya, if you agree to share the savings. lol.

Walk away!! Walk away!! They can get down lower than that. Here in Austin, a brand new TL with Nav runs about 35,600. And new cars take a heavy hit when they leave the lot. I just think that you can do better. here's why:
I originally had a deal with David McDavid to purchase a brand new 2005 Acura TL/non nav for 31,165 before taxes. While I was already approved for financing through my credit union, I went to Sterling McCall Acura to see if they could beat my credit union since David McDavid didn't appear to be serious enough. Sterling McCall quickly beat the interest rate my credit union gave me so I went back to David McDavid and told them to give me my deposit back. This was when they figured that I was serious about getting the lowest deal and they beat Sterling McCall's rate. They weren't too pleased with my how I set up the deal but then I didn't care. For me it was all about getting the lowest price I could get. Just my two cents. I'm a happy camper as a result! : )

Back in 2002, I bought my RSX-S as a demo with 300 miles on it. Brand new they were selling at 23k I got it for 21k plus they installed a rear spoiler.........now in your case amigo $1k for 7k miles doesn't sound like a good deal, I hope they gave you an extended warranty to7k miles above the basic.....
Now like someone said it above....enjoy it....
