Just to put this into perspective, last year when I was shopping for my car I found a 2006 TL NAV 6MT with 20,300 miles on the clock for $14,000; the guy got asking price for the car.

Sounds like it might be a good find. Good luck!!

No need to go else where, just create a new thread and people will chime in, its go so smooth that most people doesn't realize it. No harm meaning tho.

It's pretty on topic and the thread is about discussing ownership etc...
I could see that we don't need another thread on that.

I am very happy with the car now. really all I am looking to do next is front struts and darker tint. I am enjoying not having car payments.

Hey just wondering what kind of sound system you put in your TL? I was also thinking about restoring my 04 TL I can't see myself driving anything else.

I have a Pioneer AVH-X490BS, some Polk speakers, Cheap bazooka tube for a little more bass (I don't listen to bass-heavy music, mostly rock). I took out the stock amp since that is what was giving me trouble in the first place, and installed a Pioneer GM-D9605 to power the speakers and woofer. Also I threw on a backup camera, which is pretty cool.

Yeah, bypassing the stock system entirely would have been the way to go. I spent a LOT of time chasing ground noises and trying to get a clean signal.
