Debating upgrade to a TL type S

Hi guys,
I currently drive a 2006 tsx with 67K miles on it with navi and found a 2007 tl type s manual and put down a deposit on it. The type S has never been in an accident and it is bone stock with 49K miles on it. My tsx is completely paid off but I am still debating the upgrade. What do you guys have to say about this?

If you're in a financial situation that allows you to go through with this, then go for it.

The price on the type s is 22.5 k and i am getting 12 k for my car. I would have to finance 10K, leaving me with a monthly payment of around 175 at 2.24 interest from my credit union.

One of the questions you need to answer besides "If you're in a financial situation that allows you to go through with this, then go for it." is - "is it a want or a need?". Sounds like a want, not that there is anything wrong with that. I have a 6sp TLS and love it. $175/month isn't bad, but lots of folks will tell you there's nothing better than a car thats paid for especially if there is nothing wrong with it.
Just some things to think about.

If you've always wanted a Type S and you have the financial means, go ahead.

Could be a need over a want depending on OP's situation? Any kids? Or need for more cargo space? TL's a good jump in not only performance, but size for passengers and nick nacks.

Well I am single no girlfriends or kids at this point in time but I am chasing the performance. Its the debacle over if i want a car payment or not for a car that is only a year newer to what I have right now that is making me question myself.

Usually, I'm the naysayer that says keep what you have and drive on, but here, you get a newer, lower mileage (and more importantly, upscale) car, so for $10K (and if the payments don't bother you), get it! The TSX is a great car in its own right, but I don't doubt you'll like the TL more. $175 per month (depending on income) is a pretty reasonable payment for what you're getting.

As long as you're not bothered with paying off the 10K and can do it comfortably I would go for it! I only have a base, but I can still guarantee you won't be disappointed. It's an absolutely beautiful car, with tons of space, and a strong engine. And plus once you join this site and find all the modding potential of it, you will never look back. Dooooo it!
