I dont think that at all. Its nice to have more than one opinion about something anyway, to see another perspective. I think what set a lot of people off was the way you went about making that difference known. Instead of simply saying "i dont like how it looks" or "this isnt something i would do" you went off about saying how dumb it was, etc.

I said "ridiculous" not "dumb"....there is a major difference. I'm not saying people are dumb for doing it. Now as for people bragging about doing 140 MPH on a public Parkway or Turnpike....THAT is dumb !

Sorry, I wasnt looking at your text when writing that. I was also looking at your "laughing at this thread," maybe I didnt understand exactly what you meant (as I guess I havent before) but it seemed to mean that you were laughing at people for doing that. Honestly, I dont think its a big deal but the tone of the posts might give off the wrong vibe.

Yes, I agree with you, bragging about that (and driving that fast) is dumb.

If you are too dense to figure that out, that's your problem not mine (please note the lack of "lol" at the end of this sentence)

Your tone sucks, all you have to put is that you dont like debadging and leave it at that.

Nobody thinks it makes people drool all over the car. Some of us think it looks better. You have this attitude that you're the only one on this board that feels this way. Why do we have to convince you it looks good to us?

There are others that said they like the look with the decals.

Back on topic - I've been thinking about just taking the "Acura" off, and leaving the "TL". Thanks for the photo A SiQ TL. I notice that BMW and Mercedes don't have the brand name on the back, just the model. Japanese and American cars tend to have too many badges.

One question, what do those that have debadged do when they go to sell the car? Rebadge or just let it go debadged?

And thats how you take it too far and look like an ass...

Now if you would like to take a step back from trying to browbeat your opinions on trancemission and subinf, we could get back to the TOPIC OF THE THREAD instead of reading all your dumbass crap.

"Debadging" is kind of like your color choice.... personal preference...

It looks good both ways which is what we should all be saying instead of how someone elses ride looks worse than ours because they did or did not do something to it....

I didn't keep mine... threw them out when I moved... I figure If I get rid of it, it will most likely be at an Acura dealer since I envision trading it in on the 2008 TL-S Coupe SH-AWD with 350hp... Then Acura is going to put new badges on it anyway so why would I bother with it?

So how many people are going to read this and be like "Guess what!! There is a 2008 TL-S Coupe SH-AWD coming out with 350hp!!!!

xtin....I have a set of 18" RonJon Inspyre's waiting to come in and I want to do a window tinting as well. I also would like to do the A-Spec suspension but that will have to come later. I look at these forums to see what other creative but inexpensive mods people have done. But ripping the badges off my TL is not on my radar...

I'd like to do some more but they will have to wait a bit. I just purchased a 42" Hitachi plasma hdtv about a month ago and if I spend too much more on toys I will start to feel guilty....

Hey subin....I want to apologize if I seemed like a ball buster. I can be a troublemaker at times...

I am seeing a lot of good ideas on here for inexpensive mods that can make your car a bit unique. And yes, I will admit that even ripping off the badges makes the car look different...at least until everyone starts to do it....

You can just buy the Acura (List: $17.91/Sunnyside: $13.91) and the TL (List: $14.75/Sunnyside: $12.04)) emblems .......

OOOHHH! I'm heading that way too. All I've got to do is window tint, front and rear painted trim. I tried the Rockblockers-could not get the tail lights to fit for anything. Gonna keep the lights stock.

Can't afford the S/C-lottery hasn't come my way yet.

I like debadged. I agree it cleans up the trunk area.

I don't understand how it would devalue the car. I've never heard someone say, " I almost bought that car, but someone had taken the badges off the back!! "

My on debadging. I don't believe you need an emblem at all and the Acura logo is enough for me. Every vehicle in the Acura family has it's own unique design especially the 3G TL (which is what we're talking about). I don't need to see an emblem to know it's a TL or an Acura. There's no way you can mistake it for a TSX or RSX or an RL for that matter unless you have no clue what you're looking at. One other tidbit of info, the members of AZ represent a fraction of TL owners nationwide and we choose to be different from the rest.
