Dealers down in D.C area

Hey guys, my brother is looking for an brand new 05 or 06 TL with Navi around the D.C area. Can anybody recommend a good dealership around there? He called one dealer and they didn't have a 05 TL with nav. Thanks for the help!

Tell him to try Pohanka Acura in Chantilly, VA. Last time I checked out their inventory (just this past weekend), they had 142 TLs, mixed between 05's and 06's. Should be able to find something there.

Check out Radley Acura in Baileys Crossroads VA.... I bought my first 05 TL from them and my Land Rover from them. Talk to a guy named Wydell Bannerman. He doesnt screw around and he is a fair and decent salesman. Not too many of them....

Or ask for Chris LaPorte. I bought my TL-S from him a few years ago, he was great to deal with

Bought mine from Alan Eden of Rosenthal Acura in Gaithersburg. Did everything via email--very responsive and easy to work with. I was also pretty satisfied with the quotes and salespeople from Norris Acura in Ellicott City and Tischer Acura in Laurel.

I almost bought from Tischer but wound up at Norris.
Both had good prices. Read good things about Rosenthal's prices on Edmunds Acura Tl forum.

POHANKA in Chantilly

Pohanka has the largest selection of TL's in the metro area period. I was able to get mine for $35,5 after processing, tax, and tags (with dent/wheel protection and GAP) insurance. The manager's name is Lenny Gonzalez, and my salesman (very easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the product) is Danny Wright. His contact information is:

email: d.wright_jr@hotmail.com
work: 703-968-6600
mobile: 703-944-7377

I do not work for the company, nor would I benefit from any transaction... but I will recommend them for any ACURA purchase. If you do speak with Lenny or Danny, tell them Cameron Bunn said hello.

I live a few miles from Norris, but drove the extra 10 to Tischer and bought there. Wasn't impressed with the sales staff at Norris (too laid back). Tischer seemed much more professional and the price was slightly better.

I bought from tischer acura. My salesman started talking about drinking margaritas and hiring whores to celebrate (2-3 times no less). Personally I have a thick skin and don't let things bother me, but I think some people would have been offended and left. Tischer also refuses to give me bumper plugs that they removed from my car, saying they would cost me $22 now.

I'm also considering Rosenthal Acura because I live in the Germantown area. Were you able to get a good deal? I heard that they are firm with their pricing, so I'm just curious.

Thanks!

car puchase-Rosenthal

We just got a new Navi 06 TL Antracite and ebony from Rosenthal Wednesday. Alan Eden was our sales rep and very professional. Try as I might, we could not beat their deal, not from any Va or Md. dealer or the sponser here who is said to be the best. These guys will deal with you if you are reasonable with them. p.s. a tip, call them during a Redskins game!!

I went with Rosenthal, as it was most convenient to me. Worked with Dewey Isreal - Internet consultant. Back in July, we agreed on a price, and had them search high and low for a RRP Navi 6MT Camel. That combination is NOT easy to find. They couldn't find one in the region, and I wasn't ready to order one and have to wait 6 weeks or more. A few weeks later, an ABP Navi 6MT shows up on their lot and Dewey calls me. I said, "Since it's not my color (ABP WAS my second choice), lower your price by $500 bucks, and you have a deal." We had a deal. Pretty well satisfied.

I don't recommend Tischer Acura

I didn't have a problem with the sale of the car but with servicing the car at tischer. They messed up an oil change and blamed it on the oil drain plug failing, which is b.s. but acura covered the repairs in the end...

i was thoroughly disappointed with how they handled this situation...

i won't be taking my car to tischer anymore, after getting the failed oil drain plug back, one can tell immediatlely that it wasn't a parts failure but a tech using their brain failure....

6 weeks ago, Rosenthal, Norris and Tischer were all within a couple hundred bucks of each other for an '05 TL 6AT w/Nav: $32,600 before TTL. I went with the one that had my preferred car on the lot and the nicer salesman.

I bought my 1997 TL from there at the price I wanted and without any hassle.

I got mine in July thru Internet DEpt(Arthur Parsons) and paid $300 over invoice. Do not know what the supply is now but they are easy to work with. Have a 5AT NAVI in Renando Red/Parchment.

Lincoln Tucker at Radley is good too. I bought my TL from him in August 2004 and my father bought his TSX from him in May 2004.
