Dealer Stickers?

This may be considered a stupid question and very noob-ish but whatever. How exactly do you remove dealer stickers? Also, is it possible to shave the car by yourself or does it have to be professionally taken care of?

Heat up the sticker with a heat gun or hairdryer, and peel it off. Use an adhesive remover to get the glue off, then wax the area.

Most badging can be removed by yourself in the same manner. Easier to use floss between the emblem and the paint instead of peeling tho. I beleive the rear "A" is the only one with holes, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Cool, sounds good! Will the sticker just peel off with direct heat or do I have to scratch a bit? Any recommendations on a good adhesive remover?

So will the heat cause the sticker to peel right off or do I have to force it off?

You'll porbably have to work at it some, but the heat should help.

In the future (if you buy from a dealer) tell them to remove the sticker before you take delivery. It's no big dea; they do it all the time.

the heating method requires you to have a blow dryer right next to you... if you do go for it

but adhesive remover from autozone does the trick... the 3m stuff is money... goo gone or ooops also work just as much... dont scratch/scrape ever... you soak then rub lightly and off they go... same with badges

Go back to the dealer and have them remove the sticker.

One of the purchase stipulations that I insist be in writing that if it is a new car that the dealer NOT place any dealership advertising anywhere inside or outside the car such as licence plate (tag) frame, metal or decal dealer name on trunk etc. If it is a used car then the dealer MUST remove all such crappola, whether it be their own or the original dealership logos. Another deal could be to have the dealership pay you a weekly salary (say a full tank of gas) for being a moving billboard. JC
