Dealer Praise
Dealer Praise
I just wanted to say that my local dealer, Continental Acura of Anchorage Alaska took great care of me yesterday. I finally sent my car in to have the power steering recall performed. It took a couple of years to get up the strength to do it. I was so worried because of all the negative threads.
I basically spoke with the service guys. They took a look at my car and knew I truly did care about it. I dropped it off the night before and they parked it in the shop overnight (which was awesome because it was very windy and rainy that night).
When I went to pick it up, it was parked in the very back corner so that no other cars could park next to it. Once they pulled it around for me, I could not find a single shred of evidence that they even touched the car. I popped the hood and could see the new hose, but not one fingerprint. No extra miles, even the radio was on the same settings.
I just wanted to say thank you to the guys at Continental Acura for taking care of me.

thats all good-
there is nothing negative about the recall- its a safety issue where the ps hose may break and spit flammables at the hot exhaust= fire in engine compartment
Waiting was a bigger danger than letting them install a basic hose~
No miles driven because its a simple hose replacement
Yes it was nice of them to park it inside, where it was ready to be worked on first thing- nice and cold!
and not spill fluid all over the engine or leave oily rags there--which has happened
Send a letter to acura corp and to the dealership- service dept appreciates personal thank you's
If you got a survey card, give them all 10s- anything less than perfect 10s is a failing grade in acuras mind ---good results = bonus pay

Yeah, I know waiting could be viewed as a greater risk. But haven't people been driving them with the bad part for three years before the recall? I've only put 7k miles on the car in two years. I've never made any long distance trips and checked the hose for damage every time I pop the hood.
I was worried about cosmetic damage. I don't have the energy to deal with it in a respectable manor. Just glad everything came out okay. The Service Adviser said I'd get a survey in the mail so I'll defiantly give them high marks.

I was just reading a bad review about another dealership but it's great to hear a positive story. Glad everything worked out for you
These kinds of dealerships are hard to come by.
