I notice my glove box started to sag on the right side as it bends around to the door jam. The gap was as great as 1/4 inch. Then a fastener and screw apeared on the floor mat. The dealer said he ordered a whole new assembly. That was 6 weeks ago. They called with an update that the part is backorded from the supplier. Thank you just in time inventory, they probably only produce enough for new car manufacturing. Has anyone else had their glove box replaced for similar reasons? Did you get the part?

 

I was ever having the serious problems/rattles from my glovebox in the past. Dealers thought they may have to order the new one if they failed to provide some solutions again. However, my glovebox seems fine now after they removed all screws and tightened up again. I heard of the backorder news before, but you know the glovebox isn't the only part in this situation.
