dead battery = scary experience
so im waiting for my friend to come out ... i listened to the radio then i passed out :imwithstupid: ... by the time i woke up again and my friend got out... radio and everything seemed fine... ok... time to turn on the engine... BAM the cranked and cranked but no luck on starting
waited 10-15 min.. cranked again only this time, a rattle came right behind where the trunk button is as long i keep cranking
the navi screen kepted showing the Acura Logo with the Navigation System... never went past that...
the windows were slow and Auto up/down feature was malfunctioning
when switched to ON(II), VSA, the VSA off logo, airbags, and the malfunction light kepted flashing like 5 times
at this point i was gonna piss my pants
finally my friend came and help me jump start the battery... all seems fine except "malfuncting" light kepted flashing for 5 secs after i start the car (i decided to read the manual about that one and apparently its normal after a battery dies)
the Auto up/down windows feature didnt work till i drove for like 10 minutes...weird
agh never wanna go through that again

How long did you pass out? I've worked on my car with the radio on all the time and my battery hasn't failed like that before. I would recommend going to get your battery tested.

Now with i-Vtec
Also just be very careful jump starting your TL do it the way they recommend on the cables. If done improperly you can cause some serious electrical problems. And everything in the TL is electrical.

I would have left the "I passed out" part out of my post if it were me. Suffice to say the battery was allowed to go dead.
Too much information

Did you have to punch in your radio code again? My salesman gave me a card with my code and told me if the battery ever went dead or was replaced, I'd have to re-enter that code.

Hmmmm - I notice you didn't say... Fell asleep but rather "passed out". It sounds like you were lucky a cop didn't show up to help you out. If you were sitting behind the wheel of the car (even if it wasn't running) in that condition, it is a DUI in this state. Good question on the duration of that condition. Even a good couple of hours shouldn't kill your battery. Have you made any mods to the car (i.e. a BIG honking sub in the rear for example)?
