Daytime running light bulb wattage?? 2007 TL-S
Hey guys Im looking to buy the nokya hyper yellow lights (9005) for my DRLs. I have a 2007 TL-s. I know there are threads out there that I searched through but every other thread lists a different wattage. I just want to double check on what the correct wattage is for the DRLs?? I've heard 55w and 65w, which is correct? If I buy the 65w would I be able to run them without fear of burning up the wiring or installing a wire kit?
Thanks for your help guys!

Are you gonna get the Module for them to turn on brighter? Its gonna suck spending all that money on yellow bulbs when they do a half ass job. I want Yellow bulbs for my DRLs as well but haven't really thought over what I want to do yet. I want them to turn on and off with a switch so that even if my headlights are on I can have them on as well. Plus I want them to turn on at Full brightness that the bulbs are made for. Maybe someone can lead me in the right path...

I'm just looking to swap the bulbs... I just want to make I'm getting the right wattage. I don't want to do anything too involved.
I know the bulb size is 9005, but the only wattage that comes of for that bulb type is 65w or higher so I'm assuming the stock wattage is 65w?
I just hate the stock yellowish/brown color.

Neither 55W not 65W is correct.

Are 9005 and HB3 the same?
And Mafyoso is right - what ever you put in there only runs at 1/2 power (or less). That's why the DRL's we have are piss yellow instead of regular white.
Get the DRL LED's and the wiring kit (if needed). Search should turn up parts and DIY instructions. You can try here (https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-garage-faq-3g-tl-newbies-553554/) to start.

^ You dont need load resistors with the kit I bought they have them build in to the wire kit and you get full brightness. How where you able to run your DRL's with your headlights on? I thought they turn off when the headlights are on

yeh there is no yellow leds... all of em are amber or white/blue.
I did add a relay... that way I have a switch to turn them on/off whenever I feel like.. there is no error on the dash cause of the load resistors...
The relay kit you have will do the same as mine to run them with headlight on or whenever you feel like it, all you need to do is a run a wire for switch inside of the car. Ground one end on the switch and run other wire to the relay, so when turn the switch on the relay will come on and will turn the DRLs on

The led kit does look great! For right now I'm not ready to spend the money on it just because I want to see how the yellow looks in person.
Can I safely run the 65w bulbs without the additional wiring?

That's my line of thinking too. I just want to make sure I wouldn't be doing any harm to the wiring harness. If anyone else has input that would be great!
