long story short friend sent me a number for a guy selling 2008 Acura TL TYPE S parts...... everything form the car is available so he claims

called the guy... he said he will give me the navi with ALL parts sub display dvd player in trunk codes screen and all for $300.. pair of tail lights for 100.. and much more..

more concerned about the 2 above items..

he's from Irvington NJ.... not fond of that area lol. so not sure if this seems to good to be true or if this is a set up..


he said it was a bad accident... and was able to get most of the stuff before insurance took the car...

all input is appreciated.

Actually, I would buy a part that's not really expensive (better to lose $20 then $300) and see if he's legit.

my friends cousin is a cop in irvington NJ.. told me go before 12 noon.. most crack heads are up by 12.. were his exact words well guy i spoke to said come after 12 noon lol.....

gotta see cause I'm curious... i wouldn't mind spending 300 on a navi that i have no idea how to install I'm sure i can get close to 1000 for it online if i was to sell it

I live in hillside a small town which is next to irvington... Ive heard so many bad stories about irvington. Like every1 suggested dont go alone, definitely dont meet this guy at his house, and try to get to your meeting spot before he does.

is250 is under powered and small back seats
325xi is under powered for a awd and doesn't even look as beautiful as the 3G TL
c300 is maybe the only one that is on the same level as the 3G TL. my brother owns a white 08 c300. i prefer my TL over the c300 anyday. bigger, nicer interior, more power

e350... now if its the 2009-current model than this car has your 3g TL beat in looks hands down.... if its a 2002-2009 it looks ok, but the motor is nice

i know im off topic, but your 3g tl is pretty much nicer than all your friends cars... unless your TL is in horrible condition with dents all over and clear coat peeling and other body problems

the E is an 07 with the AMG package, nicer rims, grill looks a little different, nice looking car.

I would trade my TL in ANYDAY for a an is250.... Im not looking for power i have 8 points on my license and I'm 19 how i don't know. But the is seems a lot nicer to me, push start, adaptive headlights ( which i need i live in a woodsy area ) , aux input, cool seats option, standard backup camera (navi option obviously) better on gas i feel like. IDK maybe I'm just crazy but the TL to me is just a TL. i feel like I'm going to break it.. driving around turns i take it slow ever since my axle broke i feel like the cars made of plastic and have to be gentile. help.

 

car is def stolen...irvington is bad news

 

you only think that because you dont have the car. part of human nature is to want things that you dont have. trust me, if u get an is250 you will miss your TL. if you had an is350 though that might be a different story....
your TL has way better handling, the handling on my friend's IS350 cannot match my TL-S for sure. yes he has a bit more power but on a track I can beat him for sure. also if you want to talk about features, the TL has the best bixenon projectors in the world, did you ever think about that? probably not, because you still have the stock fresnel lens. I have the zkw-r clear lens swap and its absolutely phenomenal. The IS projectors arent that good stock, and even with an sti-r clear lens upgrade its only mediocre.

 

i guess your right, however i drive the car all the time... friend goes on vacation trips for work etc so its not like i die to drive it.. the over all look is better there just something that bothers me about the TL especially the way it drives i feel like somethings going to snap AGAIN this was since i broke amy axle. don't want another one to break.. even though it broke on its own.
