Damn it... need right side mirror
hey all....
**** i just ****ed up my car.... I started backing my car and **** I hit one of the cars :banghead: and right side mirror broked and the door got few scratches and I think door will be fixed by the touch up, no dints... well does any body have estimate on the mirror? I called the salesman since parts dept. was closed and he had no idea and I asked him about '03 model and he had no idea on that either.
I just can't believe this **** happened.

I did something similar to that to my old Taurus SHO once: I took the passenger side mirror off on my garage door frame. That car didn't have collapsible mirrors, so it was bodywork plus the mirror to fix it.

Ouch!
Sorry to hear it desijat. Too bad. I saw somewhere integra mirros for $63 couple of days back. Let me dig in my history and I'll send the URL your way. They might have some for new TL for reasonable price.

ok **** I saw the dent in the door, I couldn't tell it from looking straight at it... I looked it from different angles and saw it.... man... sucks big time... this car is been out for few montsh now... will I be able to get an estimate ? what you all think?

I think you should look at this as an opportunity for both yourself and your fellow a-tl-ers. People have been complaining about the wind noise with the stock mirrors. Since aftermarket mirrors tend to be cheaper, your might be able to replace both your mirrors for the same price as, if not less than, using OE parts. Then you can have a one-of-a-kind TL and report to everyone how if affected the wind noise. I'm only kidding slightly...
If the dent in your door isn't TOO bad, they'll be able to pop it out and touch it up for fairly cheap (<$100)

VC Slim, tell us your story.
I have 4, yes 4 places where I've marred my exterior.
1. Small 1mm x 1cm nick in center of rear bumper from wife touching it with one of our other cars.
2. 4" x 1" road rash under left front bumper from wife taking a driveway too fast.
3. 2 3" scrapes beneath and a 1cm round patch on the side right behind the passenger side rear wheel where I pulled too close to an unusually high curb while parallel parking.
4. 3 2" marks on the driver side lower body panel from I don't know what. These are light and are in the clear coat. Not sure if they're scratches or what - more like pressure form something has turned the clear coat white.
And all this in about 5 weeks. My wife (she won't drive the car anymore - her choice but probably more because of my anxiety) and I better get a handle on this or at this rate It's going to look pretty bad in a couple years!
Anyway, in my mind, I see the car as a collection of these marks and it is still driving me crazy. It's definitely a "can't see the forest for the trees" thing. They are all low and hard to see. Most wouldn't notice them at first glance. But to me, they're huge!

You got it VTEC=happiness - "a car in the shape of three dings" - well said.
Actually, I'm thinking about trying to jump into learning how to do the touch up action myself. I've been looking at the info and products on http://www.paintscratch.com and http://www.langka.com. I may give it a try on one of the smaller places and see how I do. If I'm successful, I'll do them all. Otherwise, I'll just have a good touch up place do it.
Am I wasting my time? Is this something best left to professionals? Is the PR on those websites just hype? Another factor - it's SSM, so it'll be very hard to match.
Can anyone give me some average prices for top notch nick and chip repairs?

oh ya guys, I got an estimate for $1000(-/+). The shop didnt have 04TL in their system... gave me an estimate on 03TL... Mirror cost from the body shop is $180 but Dealership told me about $250.
Took few pics with my friends phone camera and will post it as soon as he emails them to me.
