Bruce, although done myself, figured I'd post this up here to show people another option since I had a HARD time finding any visual representation of it. Hope you don't mind.

Type S OEM Tails
NBP paint matched bezel
Removed frosted lens
cf wrapped the bottom reflector

Good thing about these is if you have Bruce make them, you only need to source 1 set of lights. After owning 4 different sets of lights, there's been something about ALL of them that I don't like. Ghost tails are too chromey in signal reflector IMO, smoked tails were smoked in the reflector and you couldn't see the signal well, base reds were just base reds.

I'm kinda over the colorless look, but hated the chrome of the type s bezel, and since I was in there, figured I'd do the CF to cover the bottom reflector to make the red ONLY the top portion...and then had been toying with the frost removal and figured this would be a good time. The frost being gone definitely updates the look of the individual led's lighting up. I'm glad you guys dig it too!

J.

Those are really nice, it gives an OEM look but has a one of a kind custom status. I never liked the chrome either and love the look. I have done black bezels with red internals, so much nicer. Thanks for sharing

thanks for the kind words and glad you didn't think I was trying to hijack. What you described is EXACTLY the look i was going for...semi oem looking, but slightly unique. Best of both worlds...

Hope it generates some more sales for you, to be honest.

I'm ITCHING to see someone do what I did, but on WDP, with WDP bezel, red signal/brake light like mine, and then maybe a white or silver CF wrap on the reflector. I think that would look absolutely stunning. Everyone that's done the WDP bezel has done a black/smoked everything else. I, for one, love the contrast of the red on white/black.

it only requires 1 type s light (oem or depo) and given Bruce's expertise, this will be child's play for him.

Wow, thanks though, quite a compliment. Glad you guys dig em.

I just need TYPE-S. I can get new OEMs for $205 and I have a set of Used Mint depos for $120 (these are the $165 DEPOs, not the eagle eyes or the unrepeatable company depo remakes.

Work is $150 plus shipping and $10 for the CF for both sides.

LOL...so I tell my fiancee this morning that the lights were a hit (she's my artistic assistant director...getting her buy in on my mods let's me have the extra time to do them ). She's like...oh wow, cool...but I thought you wanted them to be unique. I do, but gotta share the love!

Bruce, that's a great price, IMO.

Thank you. I have done a black bezel with CF bottom before, but the inserts were clear. The car was white and looked really nice:

I offer trade ins for both headlights and tail lights if yours are OEM and no stress cracks/scratches and just have normal use..

This trade in does require a deposit..Which is fully refunded once I get yours back in condition stated above..

I know he does good work, but I am not sure if he does it on the side/for a living or what. I do this for a living and I am not limited to headlights. I do custom headlights, custom tail lights and all installs for cars. I also sell vinyl/wrap roofs/carbon fiber wraps/sell for ACURA (all OEM parts)/install intakes or anything/sell and install custom 04-06 TL fog lights (from 03-05 accord)/rear roof spoilers and so on..

Like I said I am unsure of what he does or so forth, but I have 3-4 sets of trade ins for each year TL's headlights (3G TL OR 4G TL) and I am always ready to start a job and ship out for a fast turn around time. I also carry 6-7 trade in tail lights for 07-08 guys if they want work done. If they have an 04-06 and want custom tail lights I can sell them new ones or find used ones for them and do the work to the lights. I am there 24/7 to answer emails/texts or questions via PM as working on cars/vinyl is my living. I own TL's as well so I know everything there is to know about them as well as other cars and anything you want done/can imagine..I can do.

If anyone needs help as I have done in the past or if they want to try it themselves, I help them out, whether I get there business or not. For a few members as well (such as deathmetal) I found a set of tail lights for him and opened them so he can mod to his liking and close himself.

Plus, you're 2 different guys.

Great response, Ack...in most cases, I think the quality is comparable...sometimes it's the customer service and communication that sets vendors/businesses apart.

I'm in NY man, we should get together for a meet or a car show sometime, I would love a set of headlights and tails...soon, soon. I just refinished my headlights and they look amazing. Those amber lenses in the headlights kill me lol. For now the 04 tails are ok. I want to switch out the side markers and tails eventually.

It's already gone, J! I didn't put this picture in because the tail didn't look as good in this picture.

Jeremy, I forgot to say that coming from a very rigid and military background, I lean towards that-badging. They badge everything!

But I love the Type S logos strategically placed. It also reminds me of some of the exotics and how they badge. I've always said (in regards to the Type S badge above the sidemarkers), "if it's good enough for Ferrari, it's good enough for me".

Steven, we all have different preferences, man. I got you.
Same reason I keep the wing spoiler and don't get the roof spoiler. Just not my thing!

Either way, your car looks great...

Ack. Are these on SkeWest's(first pic) the same as Libert69's (2nd)?? Visually they look the same. I am going for the same look as those but with CF on the bottom reflector. Are these 07-08 base? LMK thanks.

Yes they are the same. Those can be made out of the 07-08 base or types with base 04-08 internals.

Those and the TYPE-S with the clear brake diffuser are my favorite on WDP.

I haven't had the chance to upload all 300+ pictures of my recent work but I will soon and post up possibly 3-5 more different styles I have done for headlights and tail lights.

Including a v2 blacked out with carbon fiber inserts, KBP projector bezel and KBP strip. An anthracite color matched 07-08 base with an USR clear diffuser on a WDP car. Also a royal blue/abyss blue color matched bezel for tail lights with smoked internals and a light tint of color match on them so give them an appearance of all blue but tinted and able to let light come through. Plus more..
