Finally installed my new headlights after an extremely long 3 days wait . They are Type-S headlights with clear diffusers that were smoked out.

Is this basically a Type-S Tail lights with the 07-08 "clear area"? If so, I am interested in this design. Thx!

 

those are Type-S with the red diffuser taken out of the brake light area.

 

Yes that is correct. They are the type s tail lights with the base clear brake diffuser.

Loving the headlights and cut-offs. Have gotten props on them already. Wife took t3i with her so may have to just take some p&s photos tomorrow for you until I can get better quality.

The zkw-r's make a world of difference.

Ack... What exactly did you do to these tails? I have type-s tails and was wondering can you do the same to mine but keeping the bezel as is (dark chrome)?

 

Those are base 07-08 with a black bezel/mediu tinted side marker and lower reflector and lightly tinted center brake diffuser.

I can do that to your s tails and keep the chrome bezel but I would also need to provide the clear brake diffuser from the base.

Also hooked up the tails as well!! Just to let you know this dude treats your car like it was his!! He changed an ignitor for me as well. Also threw in some resisters and switchbacks!! Im going back soon for more work!! Thanks B

I like those tail lights.. how much would that be? Do I need to send you the light first or do you have them in stock.. these are nice. I want those and also considering some blacked out headlights as well

 

Those would require the base 07-08 or TYPE-S and base for clear internals.

 

Hey Ack, what did you use to tint the inserts black? I'm planning on turning my tail lights into these but am hesitant because these look dark as hell and if they don't have enough light output, ill get pulled over. I read that niteshades is good but with all sprays, it can get sketchy.

 

^^...I use niteshade but I spray layer after layer to match each side. I then make sure (if the customer wants dark) that ample light is still able to shine through. I have used niteshade for years and no problems. You have to know how to spray it or it'll look flat and run which can become a huge problem because removing it isn't easy. If you don't remove it all some parts will be darker than others and become blotchy..

 

AckTL05 did my headlights on my car. I had emailed him ahead of time and he answered all my question promptly and was very thorough. I received the headlight fast and they were very well packed. Bruce did a great job on the headlight, they were exactly what I wanted at an affordable price. Thanks Bruce!

 

I bought a used pair of ACKTL05 lights from a fellow AZiner, which arrived yesterday. From the first bolt to the last, it took me right at two hours to complete the job. Had I not had to remove my custom sub-box, which is similar to the Uncald4, I probably could have done it in less than 90 minutes. I must say that rewiring the LED clip was not nearly as bad as I was expecting. The LED boards were also easy to relocate. On the NBP, the red tails just didn't flow with the rest of the car. While not the best pic, here is the final result.

 

Do the turn signals come through pretty good on ones like these?

 

Yes they do:

Middle and sides are the same darkness: This is it with the lights on..

 

I guess i'm not understanding, but despite the tint on the turn signals, it still shines through the same?
Also, are these the same as the ones on the white TL above? It might just be the picture but the ones above look a little darker.

Same darkness. I was just trying to show you that the anthracite TL I posted has the same darkness on the brakes as the turn signal and thats how much light still shines through.

Hey SSMTL21, what all did you get done to the headlights? Car looks great btw!

 

Lower accord fog light/a-spec kit and blacked out removed amber headlights with CF on the sides and ZKW lens.
