I apologize to everyone on the list as I have been sort of MIA lately due to some personal reasons that I had to tend to, progress on the trade in program list has been slow due to two reasons.

1) Over the past few months I have been scammed by three members who received modified lights from me but didnt return their old ones back. Hence not only I am out of 3 sets of lights but that also means 3 less sets to be offered to other members.

2) People changing their mind once I finish work on their lights, I have had this happen to me a few times now where members will refuse to take the lights that prepared for them and ask for a different set as the route they opted for at first didnt suite their iteration of mods. This also happens as I do not ask for deposit prior to work being completed.


Keeping the above two things in mind I am tweaking the deposit etc on trade in program.

1) Once your turn is due I'd ask for a $350 deposit for the lights ( reasonable price for a used set of 3G headlights), upon receiving the deposit I'll commence work on your project. This deposit will be fully refunded once I get your old headlights back. I trade for ONLY OEM headlights, I will not trade for headlights that are made by depo, headlights that have been worked on in the past either by a professional or by members them self.

2) Once your lights are ready to be shipped I'll send you a shipping quote and the total due i.e. Labor/shipping fee/trade in charge.

3) Lights will be shipped once I receive the above mentioned payment.


I apologize in advance to people who might think that above mentioned set up may not be financially feasible to them but understand this that I am only doing this to avoid any scenarios in the future where I am out of lights/money trying to provide the trade in service.

Members are more than welcome to send their OEM lights in to get the work done, lights shipped in for work have top priority and usually get taken care of within a couple of days before being shipped back.

I recently purchased a few set of lights and once they get in I'll be getting in touch with the next few people on the list.

 

That's pretty shitty. You would think that the people in this forum would have more integrity. I guess there are shady people no matter where you go. Thank you for continuing the work, even though I'm sure the scammers put a bad taste in your mouth. Hopefully everything works out.

not that long... it all depends on the ppl before you. some ppl can be a$$wholes like mentioned by JnC and take a LONG time to send back the headlights, or don't pay for them, and some ppl change their minds all together. I've been waiting almost 3 months, but I don't mind cuz theres alot of other mods to work on, i suggest to put the name on the list if you are certain ur going to get them, and in the meantime just work on other mods.

where in MA are you located? u could probably go see JnC in person, he lives in bedford, i think.

So far there are 3 sets that are missing.

1st one is getting shipped back this week, or so the owner says.

2nd one, the guy is in FL, he has 0 post here but through my detective work I have been able to find out a whole bunch of information about him, i.e. home address, work address, website he owns, home phone number, parents name etc etc. I have been trying to get in touch with him using proper means but to no avail, eventually I intend on forwarding the info to the admins to see if they can get through to him.


3rd set, member is not an avid acuraziner but does post off and on. With him its more of a disagreement where he doesnt like the set he got to due to workmanship to which I stated that I can take care of the situation if he sends me the lights back. I'd just gladly refund his full money plus the cost of shipping the lights back to me to which he has been saying no to as he states that he would have to spend money to get the lights off of the car and get the old ones installed back. Eventually I'll just forward his info to Ron A as well to see if he can resolve the situation.


I appreciate everyone that has chimmed in with their opinion, I am trying to sort things out without announcing the scammer/potential scammer/s name publicly, hopefully it'd work but if not then I sure in hell will let you guys know who the culprits are.
