^^^Thank you for that. I found those films for the headlights. Lightguard is what they were called. They say that they do have protection from the UV rays so I think this is something I will invest in.

Sounds right, but I have been doing this cleaning for over 7 years and never had a problem with any of the lights I've cleaned. PlastX from Meguiars adds the clear coat and basically puts a "wax" on the outer layer. Sanding the light by itself is bad, but once you add the PlastX its perfect

 

Has anyone had any lights done with the bezel painted red?

JNC i need some quick intervention. actually a call on 6183034309 will be highly appreciated. actually i bought the CDM headlights an all. i've been trying to get the right Signal stalk for the front headlight. i found one of your post were you say that the signal stalk for that headlight is the same as the type S. well i ordered the signal stalk for a type S acura tl and the dealer sent me the exact same ones i had before (i.e 7443) and so they are also two small for the hole on d headlight assy. so i called the dealer and it seams like the bigger stalk aren't available till the 2007 and 2008 model tl. what i need to know is this. would the bigger socket that are only available in the 2008 and 2007 model plug and play directly to my car? is the connection to my vehicle being 2004 acura tl the same or different.
also since i tried to install some switchback bulbs also, some stuff have just gone wrong. one thing is that i can't get my parking lights to come on(after putting the old filament bulbs back in), i can not figure out what is going on with that. when i signal, it works, but the bulbs don't work as parking lights. any suggestions. pls call if possible. thank you

Yo Kev, I thought your attempt at blacking out headlights was pretty good! But I guess you're seeking perfection...that's why I went this route, he's quality man.

 

JnC, do we still have to send in headlights to have work done? If not, I would like 2004 Headlights, Blacked Out, Amber Diffuser Left In, and ZKW Reps.

 

yeah i really wanna add the zkw-r lense. so instead of doing mine again i rather just pay JNC to do them i really dont have any free time for a project like that right now..

 

JnC, another quick question.. do you offer any smoking? such as if I want to keep the amber diffuser but have it smoked. Not sure if I've seen this yet.

 

In this case you would probably tint the Type-S diffuser and not the amber diffuser. I would think it is do-able.

Getting to it right now.


Lenses are $58 through my vendor, you'd have to pay him and he'll ship the lenses off to me. PM me for pricing as you have already worked on your headlights.


Well if you opt for the trade in/core exchange program then I’ll use one of my sets and work on it and ship it out to you, after receiving it you’ll install the modified set and ship your old one back to me. Trade in does have a charge of $25, so if you send your headlights in for work then you would save $25. You can email/pm/text me for more info.


Yessir, I can paint the amber diffusers with VHT nightshades, PM me for details.


Here is an example though. The red diffusers for the tails have been painted with VHT nightshades paint.
