Curious - Are these mods possible?

Just wondering if these "luxury function" mods are possible on the TL.

1. Push to start.
2. Doors that automatically sucks in and closes when not closed properly.
3. Key-less entry.
4. One touch rear windows.
5. Additional seat adjustment directions without swapping out the OEM seats.

1. Already possible, look in the Audio/Electronics section about this.

2. Soft-close doors! A great feature that will be very hard to add into the TL. You will need to replace the WHOLE door lock mechanism to one that is electronically controlled that can actually engage the latch. The system does not work by sucking in the door, but by the latch mechanically closing and then locking.

3. Very possible, I'm sure there is an aftermarket system that allows for this.

4. Possible with a few relays and some wiring already. I think KP technologies might already make a module for this.

5. That is going to be VERY hard to do. The seat bottom will have to reconstructed for some sort of thigh support, the sides of the seats will have to be redone (airbags removed) and replaced with air-bladders that can inflate/deflate for adjustable support. Then the top of the seat would have to be redone (shoulder support area) to be able to split into two sections and move forwards/backwards. Then you can't forget the various motors and such for all of these components as well!

On my 760, the side curtain air-bags are in the doors and come off the panels vs. the seats because of the side bolsters that can be adjusted. As well the back section is purposeless made to split in two (see the gap b/w the panels):

and as well you would have to find room for all the additional seat adjustments. IMO the seat would be the hardest thing to do. You could always pull a seat out of an S-Class or 7-Series and trick the airbags (in the TL) and then wire up controls into the seats.

Or you could get all of those features by upgrading your TL to an S-Class or 7-Series. 06 750's that have those options can be found for around 35K plus taxes these days!

Yes. The Honda S2000 utilized a push to start button.

It should be as long as you have the clutch in and wire it up to the push button start controller.
