Also, in regards to the Turn signal LED bulbs... why replace them? Doesnt the OEM lights do the job? I guess i'm not getting something with regards to the turn signals.. more light output?

Big bulky bulbs that are ORANGE...
When you remove the orange diffuser that bulb becomes an eyesore.

smaller, lower profile, chrome bezel, and brighter LEDS...

Had a shop paint it based on the TL's color codes.

Pretty well. Like I described earlier... That gray paint is really flat. The clearcoat make the bar a bit reflective. Color look good though.

You know I'm not shy with pics...

My angel eyes are starting to piss me off.
They always mal-function once in a while. DRL dash light just randomly comes on sometimes.

Are they wired to your DRLs? That could be the problem. That's a 5V source, not 12V.

The running lights and DRLs are wired independent of each other, and should affect each other.

^^^ x2 what he said..

The only problem I have with mine are that when its realllyy cold out (like under 40 degrees) the angel eyes take about a minute to light up and get bright, but other than that theres been no problems.

Elkayem where did you get yours from?

Grill's gonna look badass with the car along with the lights

How'd you get the grill out? Take bumper off or just the top cover and screw the grill off?

Yeah they are wired to my DRL's cuz I want them to ONLY come on, without the sidemarkers and tailights going on.

So do you have any idea how I should wire them to do that? =[
I was gonna wire them as low beams but that would make the tails and sidemarkers come on.

Just need a switch (from Autozone or Schucks, whatever...). Wire a positive to any constant (+) or ignition/switched (+) or battery. Ground it wherever, and mount switch anywhere inside. Thats all. Its pretty easy. The hardest part will probably finding a good wire to steal the (+) signal from unless you go battery. If you go battery, make sure to fuse it.

Hope this helps.

Another option, without using a switch, is to use a 4 pin relay... This will make it come on when you turn the key forward one click (switched power).

pin 30 - (+) battery
pin 87 - (+) of the angel eye ballast
pin 86 - any ground
pin 85 - splice into the DRL + (it's 5V). If that don't work (relay clicks), splice into the wiper motor lead (that's wire is described in the 3G garage in the DRL retrofit thread).

I'm on the fence... independent switch, switched on, or on with the running lights.
I'm thinking switched on may be the ticket, like you.

Switched is just the EASIEST option....I HATE relays. Confusing...

Just leave the switch in the "on" position if it is tapped into a switched (+) from somewhere else, and they will pop on whenever the car fires up. Cigarette lighter (+) is probably the best.

My directions are pretty clear though... and I find the thought of running a wire to the inside cabin MUCH more work. Using a relay is much safer.

If the idea is to have the angel eyes come on with switched power only, you COULD just direct wire it by splicing the wiper motor, etc... directly. No need for a switch.

Enough on that though. Lets keep this thread clean. Any wiring questions I can answer through PM.

Are you guys putting Angel Eyes on all four or just the outer 2? I am new to this and just got my TL-S 2 weeks ago, forgive me if this is a stupid question. But I like the look and it seems simple to do.

the inner ones are square unless you modify the housing i don't think you can put angel eyes around the inner ones.

Acura changed the design of the headlight in 2007.
2004-2006 have a square fogs in the "inner section", whereas 2007 have round Daytime Running Lights there.
Look at my pics, then go look at your headlights, you'll see the difference.

Oh yeah forgot about the DRLs. Chris 07 Type S if you just got your TL it'd nice to read some posts about removing the headlights and video about removing the front bumper

You do understand, you have to have the new headlight style to get 4 rings right?

Only waiting on 1 thing, the order for carbon fiber trim on the outer edge. The last place I ordered from has yet to ship, so I had to cancel and reorder this week.

I should be installing in 2 weeks.
If anybody wants a set of those eagle eyes, I have a spare set I'm willing to let go of for a couple bucks off...
