seriously, why the hell are parents buying kids nice cars when they won't even respect it. I never got such good treatment. I started with a 1990 ford ranger and worked my ass off and got enough money for a nicer car. Then that got t-boned and i got my TL with the settlement money.
When i hear this BS about "my daddy ..." and "My dad's gona give me ..." It make me wana beat each one of their asses till they learn some common sense and some damn respect!

Exactly, all my parents gave me was their Dodge Neon, and even that was only because I agreed to pay the insurance, maintenance, and gas on it myself from then on. And I loved that car, I thought I was lucky to have it. Now, it makes me appreciate a nice car like a TL a lot more.

Actually I was wrong when I said his dad should of bought him a cavalier instead. He should of bought him a bus pass.

I agree. My first car (when I was 16) was a thrashed 69 Charger. I got it in 1978 for 50.00 and overpaid.

My next car was my Mom's 1976 Datsun B-210 which I bought from her. It was a reliable car that got good mileage which I hated (except for the hatchback if you get my drift)

I went to school with rich kids that had new Trans Ams, 924s & Vettes so driving a B-210 sucked but beat the hell out of the bus and I appreciated not walking.

Don't be mad at the kids who are gifted nice cars at a young age. It puts them at a disadvantage when it comes to properly managing money and understanding the value of hard work. They probably think that as soon as you graduate from college you can land a $100k/yr gig regardless of the economy. Only if you work for AIG buddy!!
