I currently have a 03 TLS that i purchased in sept of 03, and after putting 17,000 mi on it, I think i am tired of all the tranny BS that goes along with this car. I love my TL and just want what i thought i was buying, peace and mind from a Honda. I am considering the 05 TL with 6 spd. and Navi and had a couple ?'s. First I know its best to not mention that you have a trade in when neg on the price but what is a good way to bring it up at the end of the bickering so the salesman isnt pissed and is going to try and screw you somehow? Also, whats the lowest the 05's with navi are going for? Just wanting you guys to help me out so i dont get screwd on the deal. Thanks

 

Don't worry about your trade-ins, shop around, and let dealers fight it out. I had an old 96 Infiniti I30 sedan w/ 210K miles on it!!!, and I had to get rid of it. So I shopped at the local Infiniti and Acura dealer, test drove both, and then got a dealer to offer me their best price before any hard bargin. Then I sat in my office, called up my Infiniti Rep, and told them that the Acura dealer is willing to give me $5k off the sticker price, $3k off plus $2k for the trade-in(which was worth like 1.5K tops). Then Infiniti guy got all flustered and wanted me to get in asap and he will work out a deal that's similar to it. I called Acura, and told them that Inifiniti guy is willing to drop $5k for a 04 G35 Coupe/6sp/nav, what can you guys do for me. They agreed to give me $2k for the trade in, and I ended up buying the TL for $4k below sticker w/ my trade-in(which is essentially scrap metal). So play the price war, get your storys straight and let them fight out for your business. Good luck.
