Couple of new mods in the cold: TL-S MEMO buttons and Blue LED security light
I noticed the TL-S seat memo buttons are silver, which makes them blend better with the silver trim. $20, I figured I'd try them out. Looks good.
PN: 35961-SEP-A61ZA
I also ordered a new security "button" and swaped the red LED for a brighter blue one.
This is what happens when it's 20 degrees out and you're tired of pre-superbowl coverage. You look for dumb shit to do to your car. The devil is in the details
I have an extra PnP security button with a modified blue LED for sale... $30 delivered.

I like the shortened lock button, looks good and doesn't get in the way. I'm gonna look into doing that. Also, nice blue security light and silver memory buttons, looks good!

OOOPs...
Well.
I turned on the lights and whaddaya know, the numbers glow red![Doh](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/doh.gif)
No big deal, you just have to pop the silver buttons off the assembly and swap them onto the stock assembly. I guess I'll do that when it's NOT 25 degrees outside.
Ashame you have to spend $20 to get 3 silver butons.
Blue security button goes to leedog.

If you're efficient with a soldiering iron, the LED swap should be a cinch.
I've performed an LED swap on my old computer case. The LEDs can be purchased at Radio Shack.
BTW, looks good Kennedy!

The MEMO buttons are a direct bolt on (I listed the PN above). You have to remove the door panel, unplug the memo button wiring, and remove the module (2 screws). You then just install the new module.
BUT, again, the TL-S memo buttons glow red at night. I just removed mine, carefully pry'd the button off each module, then attached the new buttons to the old Memo module. The just pop on/off. Works perfect.
You can buy the Security light assembly from the dealer as well: 39895-SEP-A01
The security button is slightly more complicated. Once you remove the security button assembly (from behind the panel, DO NOT try to pry it up from the front), you have to disasseble the security light. You'll find a small PCB which you'll desolded the existing led from. I use an unconventional desoldering technique. With a can of compressed air nearby, I heat the solder points up with a solder iron, then spray the point with air as the solder flows. A little cleanup, and it's all done. Install the new LED and you're all set. Be sure to test before you solder, as LED are +/- sensitive.
