corsport bushings

Hey, I have an 08 TL Type S. I got to my bushings and replaced them, however, these are the parts that came with my stock bushings:

with the stock bushing on the left, on top the piece that goes into the stock bushing (and then onto the link cable) and a clip that locks it in.

My question is: do the corsport bushings need the piece on top? I know it has the C clip so the metal clip isn't necessary, but what about the plastic spindle? With the bushing in (without the spindle) it is a little loose, so I was wondering...

feedback much appreciated. also, the cotter pins that corsport sent me do not fit. had to use the stock ones. they were too thick to fit into the hole.

correct. you can shave the corsport piece down to make it lower and get the piece on but it never made a difference on mine. shifting was improved greatly

Thanks a ton man! I tried to drive it, and it drove ok, it was very loose... so I'm kind of upset I have to tear the intake apart (stock intake, ftl) and do this, but I really appreciate the feedback. I'll tear it apart tomorrow and use the plastic spindle and report the success (or failure!)
